About this deal

Figure Does Not Convert: Transformers R.E.D. figures do not convert, allowing us to enhance the robot mode with a sleek, "kibble-free" form

Known designers: Mark Maher (Hasbro), Hisashi Yuki (TakaraTomy), John Warden and Yūya Ōnishi (initial concept), Marcelo Matere and Emiliano Santalucia (concept art) [1] May 16, 2023's Hasbro Pulse Transformers Fanstream on YouTube, with Evan Brooks, Ben MacCrae, and Sixo. Why doesn't anyone ever want to play frisbee?" Voice actor: Daran Norris (English), Bernard Bollet (French), Iñaki Alonso (Castilian Spanish) This mold was originally developed for Generation 2, but was canceled when that line went under (see previous entry above).PRIME-INSPIRED ACCESSORIES: Figure includes 2 ion blasters, 2 sets of alt hands, 2 forearm blades accessories with slash effects, and a dark Energon crystal accessory Highly poseable with 39 deco ops and 24 points of articulation, this Transformers R.E.D. figure was designed to bring collectors our most screen-accurate version of the character to display on their shelf The ruthless Decepticon leader, Megatron, from The Transformers animated series features a Fusion Cannon accessory, 4 alternate hands including one that holds an Energon cube, and fans can also replace hand with the Energon Mace accessory.

He features a new head sculpt with slightly different details and proportions from the earlier Masterpiece, most obvious in his eye now being smaller and a less greenish shade. The hose on his small gun accessory is now made of plastic instead of fabric. Hasbro's print advertisement for this figure (featuring Galvatron in combat with Sideswipe) depicts it with the right arm held away from the body and pointing upwards… which is a pose the toy cannot actually assume, short of digital manipulation and/or breaking and creatively gluing the arm. All promotional photographs of this piece showed it deliberately mistransformed in vehicle mode, with the cannon left stretched above the turret, apparently to make it look more show-accurate less like a real-world tank. SCREEN-ACCURATE DESIGN: Highly poseable with 60 deco ops and 26 points of articulation, Transformers R.E.D. figures were designed to bring collectors the most screen-accurate versions of their favorite characters to display on their shelves

COLLECT OTHER TRANSFORMERS R.E.D. FIGURES: Enhance your collection with more collectible R.E.D. figures (each sold separately, subject to availability) The promotional images for this figure depict a different sculpt for the crown-mask. This tooling lasted late enough in the development process that it surfaced on some prototypes. According to John Warden, the mold included a pretooled alternate head which was "an animated Galvatron", and a toy-based silver version of the figure had been conceptualised, but neither of these possibilities were followed through on. [1] Galvatron was retooled into Generations Selects Super Megatron.

In vehicle mode, the upper body does not connect solidly anywhere resulting in parts moving out of place in copies with loose hinge joints. This is somewhat harder to correct than many figures due to how small the joint is and how it is recessed into the chest. His plastic is also cast in two different shades of purple, which contrast strongly against one another. For the live script reading of " Shadowzone" at BotCon 2011, Daran Norris was unavailable, so his lines went to Ernie Hudson. Megatron includes "a Fusion Cannon, four alternate hands including one that holds an Energon cube," as well as an interchangeable hand holding an "Energon Mace accessory."In the Transformers Prime show (and other CG produced Transformers series) the Transformers characters had to do a lot of visual cheating when they transformed. Parts had to disappear and essentially "morph" into vehicle mode bits. When the toys have to represent those characters, sacrifices are often made for those designs. Since R.E.D. figures do not transform, the designers had an opportunity to create a figure that is very screen accurate, focusing on the look of the CG model and not transformation in its design. To that end, the designers have succeeded to a large degree. Look for other R.E.D. figures to enhance your collection (each sold separately, subject to availability). The large Decepticon insignia on his chest has a thin purple outline tracing just beyond the margins of the symbol itself, a decorative feature unique in the entire history of the brand. There were several odd paint choices used on this figure. The left arm is molded in purple plastic to properly match the rest of the robot mode… but is then painted over in tank-mode grey paint, even though the arm is not visible in tank mode at all. The vehicle mode's wheels are molded in the same translucent orange as the cannon, and then painted over with a slightly different shade of orange. Hasbro lead designer Bill Rawley commented at BotCon 2010 that these must have been paint-assignment errors.

Transformers R.E.D., stylized as R.E.D. [Robot Enhanced Design], is a subline of the Generations franchise featuring six-inch scale non-transforming action figures of Transformers characters from across different franchises and continuities. Aesthetically, the line trends towards show-accuracy in its sculpts, though it's not uncommon for extra sculpted details not on the show models to pop up on some of the simpler designs. Each figure comes with multiple accessories and extra hands for more display options.

The original Meister version of the sculpt was also released in a Binaltech-only red version ( repurposed into " Zoom-Zoom" by the official Binaltech fiction) and was later retooled into Kiss Players Autorooper. The Mazdaspeed car parts, but with Meister's original head sculpt and left hand, were later used to make the Binaltech-only Argent Meister. Enhance your collection with more collectible R.E.D. figures (each sold separately, subject to availability). In terms of the main releases, I have Bumblebee to go with Super7 Optimus. (It's too damned big for other R.E.D. figures but is perfectly fine to go with S7.) This mold was later redecoed/retooled as BotCon 2016 Reflector and Flash Sentry and served as the model for the non-toy Beast Wars: Uprising incarnation of Movor. In addition to the instruction manual, a separate card warns owners that they must manually pull Galvatron's hips down and away from his pelvis before posing him, or else his codpiece will scratch the paint off his upper legs.
