Here's the issue with trying to review series, where one season is vastly inferior to another. I'm leaving my overall rating as is, for the excellence in parts of season 1, which truly do deserve merit. So here’s where season two leaves us and what it might mean for season three. The Gangs: who’s left? Elliot sees that same vision of his father again, a pleading look on his face urging him to do better and so he does. Just. The van, however, is in the possession of Shannon Dumani (Pippa Bennett-Warner). She takes it to Ed (Lucian Msamati) claiming that with it the Dumani's could take control without the need for Marian or the Wallaces. She uses her son Danny and the memory of Alex (Paapa Essiedu) to convince Ed who isn't sure. This awards them what Shannon wanted, power, status and most importantly freedom from underneath anyone's boot heels, especially the Wallaces.

Ahead of the UK release date, Sky released a new red band trailer teasing some of the brutal action sequences and establishing the new way that things have changed in London. Next we see Billy (Brian Vernel), bound and laying on the ground, his bloody stump bleeding slowly into the plastic bag covering it. A tourniquet is the only thing preventing him from bleeding out. The scene cuts to his tattooed limb resting on the table in plain sight of Sean and Marian. Billy’s got one arm, Sean is in prison, having been left hanging, perched on a car tire by Elliot. It’s not clear what he’s in for – his crimes are many, but what he’ll have admitted to is another matter. He certainly poisoned Koba whose body is there at the scene. So for now, Sean’s out of the running, but he’s such a huge part of the show we can’t imagine him not having a big part to play in season 3. Will he wheedle his way out? Will he form a new faction in prison? Or will he find that he suddenly has to grow humility from behind bars where he’s no longer the big man?Doubt it… The Allegiances Gangs of London season 3 potential release date, cast, plot, trailer and everything you need to knowWhatever happens in season three, expect the focus on the diversity of the titular setting to continue. The Challenge season 39: release date, trailer, cast and everything we know about the competition series Sean, with his last few gasping breaths attempts to manipulate Elliot by telling him that his father would be proud and it kind of works.

Saba and Faz I can't even be bothered to list or explain how bad all the elements of season 2 are. It is just SO stupid, it's beyond belief! Beyond the suspension of disbelief capability of anything with a consciousness.

Sky took its sweet time to green-light a third season of Gangs of London, and while we don't yet have a release date, we do know that production has started with a new creative team. Dìrísù's character is now deep in the underbelly of London's gritty gang life, and he looks comfy there. So what's next for Finch, the Wallaces who have been sidelined and the rest of the gang factions? Elliot (Sope Dirisu) is clearly going to get into plenty more trouble working for The Investors. (Image credit: Sky Atlantic ) Sky has also revealed that the second season will debut in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW on October 20. Julia season 2: release date, trailer, cast and everything we know about the Sarah Lancashire series

Elliot's vengeance sees a severed limb tossed into his trail of bullets and blood as he hunts down Sean over the death of his father. Marian reveals that not only did she double-cross Sean by stealing his drug shipment but that it is her duplicitous actions that have helped to put Billy in danger. She insists she was trying to protect them both from the alliance Sean had made with Koba but this doesn't wash with him. Sure, season 1 had its issues. Unbelievable scenarios, undercooked characters and weird pacing with it peaking at the halfway point, and then lumbering onwards. So yeah, you had to turn a significant portion of grey matter off to enjoy it, but man, it was worth it for the fights/shootouts choreography, editing and brutality. And if you could suspend the huge amount of disbelief and shark jumping, it was pretty entertaining with how over the top it ended up being. Asif Afridi has been pushed out of chief position as the head of the all London gangs, while Lale was betrayed by lover Sean and handed over to Mr Afridi to meet her death. I can't fathom anyone greenlighting a season 3 after this, but if they do, they'd better make sure they wrap it up with a home run.
