Description

My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought is a remarkable crime thriller manga that leaves you on the edge of your seat at every turn.

This is something that I was disappointed about when I read "Death Note", I felt that after a certain point it didn’t need to go on for longer. With no girlfriend, he hangs out with a group of unsuccessful friends and is hated by almost everyone due to his status as the son of a serial killer. Now, for the story, I can’t say for sure I followed every tiny detail and I admit skim reading some parts (not because it was bad or boring, but to find out what happens next), but it’s impossible not to say this plot is extremely well thought out and interesting. Having no recollection of the event, Eiji goes along with the flow until he's faced with more nonsensical events that took place in the last few days. All I can say is that the predictability of the plot is good, the plot twists are there to confirm what the reader has been speculating. Not that it has a surprising ending what you cannot easily guess, if you've read a few similar stories. Overall great character writing, every character has an appropriate amount of screentime and well written backstories.

Eiji Urashima must uncover what has happened in the days he has no memory about as the sins of his father starts haunting him again. The professionalism of the story maybe gets its own point on the "personal enjoyment of the reader"; what I mean is, for sure, characters are interesting with their many personal stories which create emotions to the reader.

The manga's artwork is exceptional, showcasing expressive character designs and finely executed action sequences. If you’re one of those people who care much more about the ending, don’t worry this manga pretty much handled it perfectly! However, the main issue with the work is that the story reaches its peak as early as the fourth volume. It's really amazing how it affects the story and thanks for Shota Ito by drawing in this way or maybe that's just how he draw. Combined with the deliberate construction of the mise-en-scene, the graphics enthrall you with its striking attention to detail and dynamic expressions.

I feel as though there are many better ways to utilize the core components of DID in a fictional story.I was thinking it would have be analyzing more in the detail about his relationship with Eiji, but at the beginning of this chapter the focus of the narration switch to Kyouka but it’s only a small parenthesis before we get to know why Eiji’s father was chose as a scapegoat. Regardless, it is the main driving force of the plot development and should be treated with leniency. comes to complete the overall emotions you could feel toward a story, a world and make it dear to your heart, memorable. The rating of 8 given to the manga may be slightly high, but the third volume's plot twist and the fourth volume's storyline deserve praise for the chilling reactions they elicit.

We find out that something is wrong with the guy’s brain as soon as he does: he wakes up in bed next to a pretty stranger, a female classmate from college. The moment that bothered me the most happened early on in the story, but it announced that some more bullshit was coming down the road: at one point the protagonist finds himself in the club that the gang owns. Overall, it's really hard to give this story review without spoiling anything, but it's definitely top tier. Thankfully, the MC isnt your typical horny guy but someone who actually is likeable and enjoyable to read about. He simply decides to form it as a tool to get revenge, the story goes into little to no detail as to how he even did this.To me it felt massively like a cop out with little to no setup as to how he actually "gave" himself DID. The intrigue and suspense that gripped the reader during the third volume's plot twist and the horror that unfolds in the fourth volume are never quite matched again. Fans of the psychological thriller genre will be hooked from the very first chapter, establishing an interesting premise in the protagonist Eiji's memory lapses. Plot twists were AMAZING, you never knew whether or not a character was really good or not, since most mfs switched up on my man eiji.
