Finally got around to reading the colab between two great authors. I listened to a podcast where Candice talked of a function where she met James and somehow they got talking; I'd say she's the type of gal who knows how to talk with interest. Who wouldn't want to collaborate with Candice Fox? Looking for more suspenseful reads? Find out how far one twin will go to uncover where her “good half” has gone in Tarryn Fisher's upcoming novel, Good Half Gone! Can't wait until March--you can read these books now: Perhaps because this story was largely written as one of Hoover’s earlier books, or perhaps because Tarryn Fisher co-wrote it, it should be noted that this is not a typical Colleen Hoover book. The fast-paced, spicy romance that made Hoover the viral sensation we know and love is not featured in this novel. I’m invested enough to want to know how this mess ends… but the last installment better be really the last or else I may change my opinion. Terza parte: Confusa, turbata, scombussolata. Ne sono rimasta insoddisfatta e mi sono ritrovata a fine libro con tantissime domande ma troppe poche risposte. Ci sono rimasta male, ma non posso spingermi oltre per evitare spoiler.

Part two had some extremely wild points where I was like thinking to myself, “What is going on right now?!?!?” Part two built up a ton of suspense. It allowed you to try and come up with some theories about what was happening to the main characters. Going into part 3 I was really excited to see how it would all finally play out.

Have you read any books by Ken Follett? I’m discovering his books late with this being my first, but I have a few on my TBR.

Part 1 mostly focuses on these two characters earnestly trying to figure out what happened to them, why it only happened to them and no one around them, how they can get answers, and how to go about their daily lives without seeming suspicious. Part one started off a little slow. I wasn’t really sure what was going on I was trying to hypothesize right along with the characters. With this one, during the first 15% I thought that I was watching an episode of “Homeland” and I was very excited about it. Unfortunately I did not find this book as remarkable as the TV series. For most of this book, Charlie and Silas are separated. She has been imprisoned and must try and figure out exactly who is holding her captive and why. Meanwhile, Silas falls under scrutiny when Charlie does not turn up. He was the last person seen with her and the number one suspect in her disappearance.

It’s hard to cover the entirety here. There was a large portion of this story that I haven’t mentioned, where I loved the characters - the undercover agent following drug smuggling terrorists, and the human connection he formed while doing this alarmingly difficult task, he was very good at his job. They begin to put some pieces together simply by interacting with various people: They learn that they are a couple, that their families seem to have some bad blood, and that they each have one sibling. Ken’s first major success came with the publication of Eye of the Needle in 1978. A World War II thriller set in England, this book earned him the 1979 Edgar Award for Best Novel from the Mystery Writers of America. It remains one of Ken’s most popular books. Follett applies his skill and storytelling to a modern thriller, with all of the suspense, action, and embraceable characters of his historical thrillers. Like his Century trilogy, the Kingsbridge series, and others, this book is many stories, as we follow a top Chinese spy, a CIA spy imbedded with terrorists in Chad, a junior CIA analyst in Chad, and the President of the United States. Follett's simple brilliance is to jump to a different character's story as it reaches an important part. The result is dozens of chapters that are all high-points with no filler.Ken Follett truly takes his time layering this story. My analytical brain had a blast thinking about the pieces and making predictions throughout, while also trying not to panic that all of this could actually happen. Never Never (Part 1) is the first of three books/parts in Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher.

I found it particularly fascinating to see how Colleen interprets the importance of experiences, memories and similar influences. I agree with her stance - which she conveys through the characters - that they are highly significant for character development.Me ha encantado la parte del espionaje, cómo se hace frente a los terroristas, el tema de las armas, del tráfico de drogas y de personas.
