The wines are released two months ahead of HBO’s premier of House of the Dragon on August 21. Based on George R.R. House of the Dragon 2020 Red Wine The grapes were fermented in a combination of small open-top fermenters and stainless steel fermenting tanks, with selected yeasts propagated from cellars in Burgundy. It was pressed during the last days of fermentation and matured in a combination of small French oak barrels and larger stainless steel tanks for eight months. Located directly east of San Francisco at the edge of the Sacramento River Delta, the Lodi appellation is noted for its Mediterranean climate, distinctive sandy soils and heritage old vines. The shiraz grape contributes a mid-palate fruit sweetness, with plush fruit weight, well balanced with structural oak and supportive tannins.

During the eight years that "Game of Thrones" aired, we had a range of inspired products ranging from the usual t-shirts and merchandise but there were other companies who went out of their way to show their love for the show and to bring customers to their door. There was a Game of Thrones beer, a Papa John's pizza inspired by the series and Oreo went to great lengths to recreate promotional scenes. The show was so popular that people couldn't get enough of it. So it stands to reason that there will now be an abundance of things "House of the Dragon" related.
