Maybe a little dated, by like 20 years, but now you'd say it's a "classic" fragrance like Geoffrey Beene's "Bowling Green. It is very long lasting lasts for days rly, the silage fills the whole apartment only from one spray.

Gucci Gucci is certainly not mainstream and that in itself is a plus-- there is a dark sense of refinement about this fragrance-- I feel like I am transported through time and finding myself on a date with the Great Gatsby himself. The scent disappears from my skin within 1 hour, and 2 hours if I have my skin covered with fabric where I sprayed the fragrance. Much like Gabricookies, I don't detect honey at all- and given that honey notes are the sheer killer of any perfume for me, thats saying something.It starts of very boozy like you have been getting nice and intoxicated and ready to loose your inhibitions. The dry down makes the fragrance still professional and serious, but lighter, friendlier, calmer but still with an ambitious competitive edge, and still with a penchant of taking no bs, which is what I want my scent to evoke. with 6-8 hours of longevity and moderate silage this baby comes off as a pleasant and inoffensive scent. I have 2 older bottles from 2010-2015 period and it was ok, nothing groundbreaking but a solid cypress-tobacco-woody scent. I wore it the following day and had that huge sigh of relief, knowing that I had made the right decision.

I used to just spray this on just before leaving the house in a t shirt and jeans not thinking about how I wanted to smell. I mean, I remember very well the time when this perfume was launched and the ad by Lynch but the fragrance itself could have been more special and different at that time (2007-8) the 70s reference was sort of original and the scent was something bold and very very strong, almost marketed as an exclusively night time perfume I would say but. I have two bottles of it, I like it that much, I just wish I didn't need to take an atomiser with me whenever I choose to wear it. The patchouli is wildly noticeable here, so if you hate patchouli; it's pretty much guaranteed you'll hate this.

I pray that someday a "parfum or intense" version will be released, the one that came out in 2015, "Gucci pour Homme" with the silver lined box, failed to repair the "defect" of the sillage. There are many scents that I'd wish for in an EDP, by Jacques Bogart, Lomani, Vicky Thiel, Ted Lapidus. Either way, Gucci comes with a powerful burst of patchouli which later reveals a beautiful cool toned, almost icy tiare flower scent which starts dominating the overall composition. I found it in my moms bathroom, she did not use it so i took it, it s almost full and it smells beautiful, dark and sexy but by the batch code it s almost 6 years old and the bottle was used a bit so i dont know if it s safe, if anybody knows please let me know. I wont use this for datenights either but definitely yes when im in a presentation at work with grim hard-to-please bosses , put on my most persuasive smile, some twinkles in my eyes , strut my confidence around the room, drowning them with my GUCCI BY GUCCI EDP.
