This watch contains an "un-adjusted" Seiko 7S26 movement. This movement's strong point is that it continues to run reliably, just about as accurately, for a very long time before requiring service - typically well over 12 years. Up to 20+ is quite possible. Some people claim to have Seiko watches from the 60s (with very similar movement inside) that are still running beautifully without ever visiting a watch maker (50+ years!). The case is actually nicely finished and has a polished bezel, which is contrasted with satin-brushed lugs. The case has polished bevels, and the sides of the case are polished two. Overall, the case looks nice and classic. Definitely not the type of finish you would expect for a watch in this price range, so that’s a huge plus.

Night visibility isn’t great, there’s some limited ‘lume’ applied to the hands, and small dots of ‘lume’ at the foot of each silver baton. However, if you do want a really good watch in the dark, then Seiko do plenty! For starters take a look at the Seiko SNXS75K or SNXS77K. The good news is that if you wish to change, this watch also looks great on straps as well. Specifications Around the outer edge of the dial, the watch has printed seconds markers in white. As a nice contrasting detail, the watch has a bright red seconds hand which adds to the sportiness and keeps it from being monochrome. The watch is presented on a stainless steel bracelet which is mostly satin-brushed but has some polished parts which help it match the case perfectly and also keep it from being too tool-like.

The ref. SNZG13K1 is paired with a three-piece link stainless steel bracelet. The ref. SNZG15K1 is an identical timepiece, but mounted on a textile strap. Both versions start at around 180 USD. The watch has leaf/dauphine-style hands which are made of metal and have a polished finish. The minute and hour hands have Lumibrite applied to them. The watch has applied rectangular-shaped metal markers with a polished finish. Next to the markers, on the inside, they each have a luminous dot which helps with legibility in the dark. The catch however is that the lume on this watch isn’t great, but at the same time, that is not a huge issue seeing its purpose. All in all, if you are looking for a stylish, robust, and reliable everyday watch, there are very few better alternatives than the Seiko 5 SNKL41. They are all affordable price, ranging from less than a hundred dollars up to a few hundred dollars. The most popular of the bunch, at least amongst watch enthusiasts is the Seiko 5 sports, which are watches that are sporty, robust, and durable. But if you want something else, the SNKL45 also looks great on, for example, a NATO strap. Specifications
