All appears to be settling down, high school has started so surely that will be the next important chapter in the lives of loyal friends Lance, Chet,Mak, Ade, Kat? It means there's a new mystery to how the aliens are infecting people, and thus the crew have to think up a new way of stopping them. But when an explosion rocks Straybridge and a 'test subject' escapes from the university lab, Lance and his new friend Karim begin to suspect that the rejuvenation of Lance's Mum might have more sinister origins. We follow Lance once again and he is having a pretty OK time with the holidays, spending time with his mom (who is doing much better which made me very happy).

The strong bonds of friendship forged through adversity have faltered and many of the heroes of Crater Lake are struggling to adapt to their new circumstances. Cleverly, and at exactly the right times, the heart stopping, genuinely nerve shredding scenes are swiftly interspersed and intertwined with boisterous banter, some sarky side comment or a comedy quip from Lance and the gang.

It's five months since the nightmare Year Six School trip to Crater Lake, and something has gone very wrong in Lance's home town of Straybridge.

I could probably talk about this book for more and more because DANG it was a whirlwind of awesomeness. But this time she has upped the ante a little and made the perfect horror/thriller for children 9 +. Then a guy came up to the side of the bus and “SPLAT” his bright red bloody hand thumped against the side of the window. A group of mostly mis-fit children manage to outwit an alien invasion using a blend of scientific knowledge and courage but friendships are tested in the process. Today, visitors marvel at the panoramic views and natural formations of Wizard Island and Phantom Ship.Recognisable characters, a good dollop of humour, an exciting plot and developing friendships make for an enjoyable read. When everyone was locked in their rooms, Lance had to find a way to free everyone and work out what is going on.

In the woods around the lake, there are climbing walls, obstacle courses, tree houses, nature trails and everything else that an innovative outdoor activity centre could possibly provide. Things seem like they're going to be OK but then there's a huge explosion at the University in town and suddenly his mum is acting weird and odd stuff is happening. Night Mayor Franklefink has vanished from the Transylvanian Express - and it's up to you to solve the case!

Upon entering Crater Lake Lodge be sure to take in the awestruck view of the stated fireplace in the Great Hall before checking in. The two main characters have been rivals for over a year but now they must work together if they are going to save their class mates. The Doctor embarks on another thrilling adventure to save the universe, accompanied by her brave companions Yaz, Graham and Ryan. They’re pacy, entertaining stories with a sense of gore and friendship which current kids would definitely be on board with. With fast paced action and good characterisation, this builds on what went before with the added dynamic of tensions amongst the friends due to transitioning to secondary school.

And secondly, you really need to as the action in Crater Lake Evolution picks up six months later and without the prior knowledge everything will seem a bit disjointed. It is his first alien invasion and while he was scared for a lot of parts he also kept cool and did his very best to defeat the aliens along with his friends.years ago, a violent eruption collapsed an ancient volcano forming what we know as of today; Crater Lake. Endearingly self-adoring, with slick moves and quick banter and, importantly, a dependency on hair-styling products. Now he, Katja, Max, Chets and Ade, plus new friend Karim, must think bigger and bolder if they are to save their families. She tells the group that they are ‘ the first school to be trying out this centre‘ so are ‘ extremely fortunate.
