Description

A napping-friendly carry that allows you to easily "pop" baby in and out of the wrap throughout the day. Plus, with airy sides, it is also a great carry for summer babywearing. If you want to carry especially in the first weeks after birth or are looking for a special sling for this time, then an elastic sling made of jersey comes into question. You can use an elastic sling up to approx. 12kg.

A bit fluffy and with inherent diagonal stretch, it has a slightly grippy texture that makes it easy to manipulate and to adjust to all ages and stages. Once tied, carries stay in place.Especially tender newborns or very small babies often feel most comfortable centred on your front at the beginning. Here we always have their needs in mind as well. A bit stiff in the beginning, hemp fabrics break in beautifully and get soft and mouldable. They are known for aging well; the more you wear them, the softer they become.

The gathered fold (R) for the shoulder is often perceived as particularly pleasant and comfortable, because the fabric can be fanned out over the shoulder, adjusted more precisely and thus the weight can be distributed more evenly. At the same time, especially slender and petite people often find a pleated (S) shoulder design more comfortable. You can read about the difference between the gathers and the pleated fold here. As an introduction to tying and for newborns, it is recommended to learn the Front Wrap Cross Carry, as it forms the basis of all other tying methods. You can find other tying methods as well as detailed tutorials and video instructions in our instructions. En ringslynge fra Didymos – eller DidySling som den kaldes – giver dig rigtig god bærekomfort til både dig og dit barn. Barnet bliver aflastet og du vil opleve god ergonomi. A ring sling is a wonderful option for the fourth trimester, newborn days and beyond. A single layer carry, without fuss, ring slings are light, easy to care for and can be used way beyond the fourth trimester. Carrying in arms and in a sling is essential to the normal physical, psychological and neurological development of your baby. It’s the foundation on which their whole lives are built. Are Ring Slings Good For Toddlers? Our DIDYMOS slings are available in different sizes, from very short to very long. Generally, you can carry your child with any sling length. The size you need therefore depends on the combination of your preferred tying method, your body size and your clothing size.

Once your baby has better head control, you may want to try hip carries. Most babies enjoy riding on your hip as it gives them a better view of the world all while they feel safe and protected. Baby is seated in a pouch at your side and can be popped in and out easily – without untying the knot. Kangaroo Hip Carry Our ring sling can be used for both newborns and large toddlers until the end of the carrying journey - from birth up to a weight of 20kg. Why use a ring sling? Ring slings are usually made from woven wrap fabric, sewn through two aluminium rings. As such they have slight diagonal stretch, making the fabric firm to use; are supportive enough to hold even a heavy toddler; are most often found in 100% cotton options (cotton is easy to care for, easy to wash and dry and suits babies of all ages), and can be found in a variety of colours, designs, lengths, and weaves. Woven wrap slings (which most are) come in a variety of colours, designs, lengths, weaves and blends. Are They Good For Newborns?

The decision whether an elastic or woven sling is more suitable for you depends on the age of your baby and the expected duration of use. Sounds like a fantasy film and is at least as exciting: the Poppin’s Hip Carry is a double layer tying method on the hip - ideal for bigger and heavier babies and toddlers.

DIDYMOS Customer Care

En ringslynge er særligt fordelagtig, når du skal bære dit barn på hoften. Og med Didymos ringslyngen får du lige netop dét: Didysling giver dig mulighed for at vælge din favoritvikle som ringslynge. If you already have a short sling size 2 or 3, you only need two sling rings. How to turn your sling into a ring sling in no time at all, we show you here. I have more questions!

Our ring sling is available in many different colours and patterns. Currently, our DidySling is available in almost all baby sling variations, including blends with high-quality natural fibres such as virgin wool, hemp, linen, silk or cashmere content. The ecological-focused materials used in the production of all DIDYMOS slings are of course also used in our ring slings. You can read more about this here. How do I convert my sling into a ring sling? While an elastic sling is particularly soft and cuddly due to the way it is made and is therefore perfect for newborns or premature babies, a woven sling is firmer and offers more support, especially for larger and heavier children. So an elastic sling gives more (hence the term "elastic"), a woven sling has very little "bounce". These slings are one of the most versatile types of baby carrier and will last right from when your baby is a newborn well into toddlerhood. They are great for newborn snuggles, but they are equally great for using with a toddler, when they are at the 'up and down' stage. Sometimes they want to walk, or sometimes they want to be carried - ring slings are great for this as they can fold up nice and small and be put into your bag when you're not using it. What Is The Best Ring Sling? For newborns, premature or (small) babies, we recommend a front carrying position which makes sure the baby’s little body is well supported. The front carry allows you to keep your baby in view and to respond early to your child’s needs.DidyTip: Try both variants and discover the fold that suits you best - at a babywearing consultation, in our store or via our DidyTry offer. What materials is the ring sling made of? An elastic sling is knitted, a conventional sling is woven. This results in different wearing characteristics. Especially in the first weeks after birth, however, you should take care of yourself and your pelvic floor and, whenever possible, hand over carrying to other caregivers.
