Overall, it was an enjoyable tale, told in Peter James' usual easy to read style, but let down by a few sore points. He takes his teenage son, Mungo, to their club’s big Saturday afternoon football match but within minutes of arriving at the game, Kipp bumps into a client. The short snappy chapters that are a Peter James trademark (127 chapters in 560 pages in the hardback edition) are still there so you find it hard to put it down - you do tend to think, "I have time for just one more chapter".

If a refund or reimbursement is payable to you, we will transfer the money using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

Season three, released this year, followed the same format covering Dead Like You , Dead Man's Grip and Not Dead Yet in three episodes. For further information about your statutory rights, contact your local authority Trading Standards department or consumer advice centre (for example the Citizen's Advice Bureau if you are in the UK). I hope they're able to improve things and make it a bit more exciting, otherwise it could just fade away, and that would be a shame. The City of Brighton and Hove relishes the publicity value of a major Hollywood movie being filmed on location there which could be incalculable for tourist revenue and attracting future films. James explains in his Acknowledgements that "Retired Detective Chief Superintendent David Gaylor of Sussex CID" is his inspiration for protagonist Roy Grace.

Ruthless gangs, operating with military precision, have discovered a new black market flourishing in the shadows – an unthinkable source of wealth even more profitable than drugs. Enter Roy Grace and his sidekick, the dapper Glenn Branson, who already have their hands full with a torso discovered in the sewers of a chicken farm: foul play indeed. Of course we have Roy himself and his other half Cleo who is now pregnant and expecting their first child. The slight hint of unrealism is still there especially in the significant figure from his past who I do hope is brought to the fore in the next book as that back story is starting to drag on quite a bit. The obsessions with the rock superstar Gaia didn't really interest me, but certainly gave the book a different perspective that I surprisingly enjoyed; it made the plot a little bit different. Soon Grace and his team will find themselves in a race against time to save the life of a young street kid, while a desperate mother will stop at nothing to save her daughter’s life.
