However, I burned it sometimes for way longer than that, and never experienced any headache or issues of the like. If you’re ever looking for Jo Malone candle dupes and don’t want to visit the Aldi candle section, you’ll find very good dupes at Asda. In the George Home Oslo collection, you’ve got something a bit more sustainable with bamboo lids. These are also part of the core range, and a few scents are added here and there according to the season. From what I have smelled in Asda and George Home stores, a few other interesting scents to get would be By the Fire and Cosy Cottage.

As I said, I have already written a post about Asda Yankee Candle scents when I talked about places to shop for cheap Yankee Candles in the UK. There are lots of cheap shops in London where you can get Yankee Candle at a fraction of the cost; that goes from TK Maxx to B&M, Home Bargains, Poundland, and more. After some research, I’ve understood that George at Asda is literally the home section created by Asda, they’ve just got a different name. When you get something from George, either online or in-store, you know straight away that you’re getting homeware, kitchenware, and decor like the Asda candles that we’re talking about now. You’ve got scents like Cotton Blossom, Yuzu and Peony, or even Cashmere in the Eco Wix candles but if you’re into fruit scented candles, you’ll find that Peachberry Bubbly is the overall best for tropical fruit scents.

I found that the Pacific Wax Co Espresso Martini candle, which is still available to buy in store and online, had a very good throw considering its price point. The scents are more minimalist, subtle, and really grown-up compared to brands like Pacific Wax Co and Scentsationals – it’s really a pure object of home decor you’re getting with these Asda candles. I burned Espresso Martini for a good few months and would recommend burning it for the usual 3/4 hours tops before putting it out, as any good candle brand advises. And it’s not like some other shops where you get cheap Yankee Candle scents, the Asda Yankee Candle scents are actually worthy of both time and budget. You won’t find the latest scents, that’s for sure, but you’ll find Yankee Candle that you would actually want to pay money for – and that’s already a first good reason to visit the Asda candles aisles. Spoiler alert, while there are lots of different Asda Yankee Candle scents (especially at this shop in North London, located two steps away from TK Maxx), I have not bought any Yankee Candle this time. Rather, I’ve focused on two brands I didn’t really know about: Scentsationals and Pacific Wax Co.

It’s actually mind-blowing to find such a cheap, large candle that follows the Yankee Candle design and has a medium-to-large throw as well. It already smells amazing when cold, and when you start burning it, the candle only takes a couple of minutes to fill the room with a delicious coffee scent. One thing is for sure, the Pacific Wax Co wax melts are as incredible as the large candles, so you can go there fearlessly. There you have them, all the Asda candles to look out for when shopping at the British high-street retailer. All in all, Pacific Wax Co Espresso Martini was a great way to discover the quite new Asda candle brand. I love visiting all kinds of budget shops to try and find underrated candle brands; that’s why you’ll always find me at TK Maxx in London when autumn and Christmas time come around. I’ve had in mind to tell you about Asda candles and all the brands available in the British high-street retailer’s shops for quite some time now, but it’s only after another visit to Asda in Tottenham, in North London, today, that I’ve finally taken the jump and taken pictures for you of all the Asda scented candles I could find.

I’ve actually already mentioned the Asda candles in my guide to the best shops to buy cheap Yankee Candle in the UK, and well, you’re going to have the proof in pictures today. Not only that, but I have also shopped for a few candles and wax melts during this visit, which means that an Asda candle haul is coming very soon – and I am really, really excited about all the scented goodness I’ve come across this time. To be honest, the George Home candles were some of my least favorites. Although I do love clean scents, like vanilla sandalwood scents or tobacco scented candles, I am into more fun, fruity, bakery candles most of the time. I have found a few Yankee Candle gift sets at Asda, with votives and wax melts, but while I’ve very much fond of Yankee Candle, I would definitely focus my visits to Asda on the Pacific Wax Co and Scentsationals wax melts.Make sure to burn it for long enough before putting it out, though, as from my experience, it did not self-correct easily when I only burned it for a couple of hours. I’ve talked a lot about really cheap scented candles in the UK and around the world here, so if you’d like to discover more of them, read the following guides: Pacific Wax Co indeed regularly releases seasonal candles which range from Christmas tree-scented candles and gingerbread candles in the winter, to fruity and cotton candles during spring and winter.

It’s very easy, really – if you’re looking for places to buy cheap candles in London or the UK, Asda is the place to go even if you are really after wax melts.
