All you do is tap your applicator on and apply away, coverage can be built up by the amount that you use.Secondly, the dewyness means that unless your skin is dry and/or you use powder, your T-zone might get quite shiny. And if you already have perfect skin, you are probably not trawling the great Interwebs for new foundations. As the applicator wasn't inside, I used the RT Sponge and a little dab onto the cushion and the sponge was soaked.

A bigger issue is that this foundation doesn't really allow you to mix and match to find your ideal colour and formula. Once you’ve used blotting sheets or translucent powder your foundation goes back to looking as wonderful as the first application. The texture of my skin looks very similar in both the before and after photos, yet the tone is much more even, redness is disguised and pores are less noticeable. I initially thought I was going to hate the applicator puff that comes with this product but surprisingly I’m enjoying it.Brands like MAC and YSL are launching cushion foundations, and Yves Rocher has also started offering a one (the Pure Light cushion foundation). I've tried this a far few times and still seem to going back to it when I want a light look because it actually is a lovely foundation. As you can see, the L'Oréal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation has pretty great coverage, much better than I anticipated. I often find that very comfortable foundations do not set well without powder (and I don’t like powder) – Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder being a particular offender.
