eTrex 22x offers the ease-of-use, durability and affordability that the eTrex handheld GPS series is known for — along with preloaded TopoActive Europe maps. If the eTrex 32x looks similar to the old eTrex 30 that came out in 2011, it's because the case is the same (as far as I can tell).This wouldn’t be so bad except the cable is “mini USB,” otherwise known as “the old weird USB,” and I don’t have any other devices that use this cable.

But if don’t have any other way to track distance traveled at a bare minimum, or are in the habit of watching your stats more closely, this screen is really helpful.GPS Accuracy I took the eTrex 32x, eTrex 20, GPSMAP 66i, iPhone 11, and Fenix 6x Pro to a hike that had some tree coverage, moderate canyon walls, and open areas to make a side-by-side comparison of the GPS performance. The eTrex 22x comes preloaded with road-routable TopoActive Europe maps that feature streets and trails so you can take the journey off the grid. Additional Garmin maps on preprogrammed microSD card can be loaded to the Garmin eTrex 22x via the units microSD card slot contained internally under the eTrex 22x battery compartment (see picture below).

With an array of compatible mounts, eTrex is designed as an outdoor handheld GPS ideal for use on quad bikesor bicycles, in boats or on foot. The map is less detailed than OS maps but provides relevant useful information for activities like hiking and cycling, it's routable giving you turn by turn routing (on and off road) and shows elevation changes. The eTrex is not rechargeable in the typical sense, but it can run on USB power (via mini-USB cable) OR two AA batteries.This product is a sophisticated electronic device which requires that you read, understand, and act upon the information given in the instruction manual (usually available via the above 'manual' link). A Thumb Stick controller on the front of the Garmin eTrex 22x (above the screen) enables you to easily move directionally to scroll or highlight an item on the screen.
