So there I was, firmly expecting to be underwhelmed, when at some point, I actually began liking it. don't you love it when the mcs have cute moments that you'd probably go crazy over if you were invested in their romance, but you're not bc of the rushed pacing and lack of (emotional) development?

Though these two protagonists embarked on their journey as adversaries on and off the ice, a transformative encounter at a fraternity gathering acted as a catalyst for their gradual metamorphosis. I forgot to review this and it’s been a week 🤷🏻‍♀️ sooo if it’s a mess don’t hold it against me 😂 This book is a perfect example of how an author can take a trope we see over and over again and make it feel brand new. Also he's inability to control his anger and hist constant resentment, gives away to development and for an interesting character.Their reasons for initially disliking each other coming more from preconceived notions and expectations than actually knowing the other person and forming a real opinion. The story in general was not bad, but there simply were a few things that ticked me wrong, like a lot of veery unrealistic situations and ML reactions, that were just too much. The dynamic between Oak and Quinn, which commenced with enmity, gradually evolved into a charged undercurrent of sexual tension that grew increasingly palpable.
