BdC's heavy incense note is absent here, making Missoni EdP a lot smoother while still retaining a masculine feel. I was hoping this would be a beast mode summer performer, but that definitely wasn't the case on my skin.

Mr Polge had a confess that he inspired BdC from aftershaves which make sense with Missoni being cousin of BdC. The dry-down contains comforting notes of sandalwood, oakwood, birch, patchouli and musk that round out this Fougere, Aromatic and Woody eau de parfum. Missoni say: ‘The captivating freshness of the Missoni Parfum pour Homme is inspired by the Mediterranean landscape warmed by the sun.It had been twenty years since the last stab at a masculine fragrance, so trends had naturally shuffled around yet again, and Missoni decided to target the vibe of Bleu de Chanel (2010) for its newest masculine perfume. Classic spring/summer freshie, but I believe could be worn all year, especially in a climate controlled environment. I live in southern Cali so I got a lot of freshies and after a few months this is probably my favorite now. Cons: not the best performer and projector (if u want to grab attention, this is not the best option), not very innovative/interesting (which applies to a lot of blue fragrances, not only this one), not as smooth and well rounded as Chanel Allure Homme Sport (but still very good for a 30 euro fragrance mind you). Whilst the fragrance is pleasant and fresh enough, it gives off typical deodorant vibes - in fact, it’s the smell of a deodorant-filled locker room.

Highly recommended, just be wary of over spraying in hot weather, because Wave can go a bit sweet and powdery if over applied. This can be worn to school classrooms, job interviews, office meetings, church, hospital visits, gyms and daytime casual dates. There’s nothing very new here, and as the reviewer below me noted, it kind of smells like a deodorant, but isn’t that what so many smell like these days?Great scent overall for what it's worth, no complaints besides longevity and slightly harsh opening.

So I thought I would test it again and this has only confirmed my initial impression - that it is overhyped and a beneficiary of confirmation bias. If you were looking for a good value fragrance that is good, just about all year round, this is the one.It smells like a watery citrus with ever so slight sweetness, on my skin it smells watery citrus but I can smell a hint of lemon, almost smells like the same lemon used in elyssium from Roja.
