Description

The widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio provides plenty of space to spread out and work, plus allows you to enjoy games or movies in their original size. HDMI represents the leading digital video, audio, and data interface for high speed connections between ultra high-definition displays and a wide range of consumer electronics, including providing support for modern gaming consoles and PCs. This monitor doesn't support HDR, but on the upside, it has good overall picture quality with great out-of-the-box color accuracy and it has great peak brightness. With eye strain and fatigue absolutely minimized, feel free to enjoy those long, intense gaming sessions in comfort!

The best overdrive setting is 'Strong', but its response time is slow with this setting and it has some overshoot, resulting in noticeable motion blur. The horizontal scan rate/frequency shows the number of horizontal lines, displayed by the monitor per second, when it is plugged to a digital source.Ocuk Limited trading as Overclockers UK is a credit broker, not a lender, and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This is a VA panel, a type of tech that traditionally offers slightly slower response times, and it's worth pointing out that the 1ms response time quoted in the monitor's specs is an MPRT or Moving Picture Response Time figure – that's not quite as impressive as using the traditional GTG or grey-to-grey method of measuring response time. However, the CQ32G1 gets much brighter, it has wider viewing angles, and it handles reflections in really bright rooms a bit better. They've got a mighty 3,840 x 2,160 resolution to ensure that games, movies and content creation applications look as good as possible, and many of these screens are large enough to dominate a desk.

This is provided for reference only and shouldn't be used, as the calibration values vary per individual unit even for the same model, due to manufacturing tolerances.Performance overall is very good, especially in terms of low latency (the excellent 165Hz refresh rate helps here), although we did notice slight ghosting on some games and movies – it's not a major problem, but it's there if you're looking carefully. Luckily, there's very little dirty screen effect and the uniformity is much better in near-dark scenes.

AOC Flicker-Free Technology utilises a DC (Direct Current) backlight panel, reducing flickering light levels. Display Information about the main characteristics of the display - panel, backlight, resolution, refresh rate, etc. Whether you're dashing through explosions or screeching around rain slicked bends, wave goodbye to screen tearing and lag - and leave your opponents in your smoothly rendered dust.

It supports AMD FreeSync Premium down to 48 Hz with low framerate compensation (LFC), so you’ll never see a frame tear. However, the AOC has a wider VRR range, it displays a wider color gamut and has better out-of-the-box color accuracy, and it also has wider viewing angles. This makes it seem as if you're right in the middle of the game and you see all opponents from the corner of your eye.
