Didn't want a smart watch as the previous ones I've had only last a year or two and this one seems pretty future-proof with the solar battery and water and shock resistance. I always wanted a smaller G-Shock with a moon phase feature that was solar and atomic so this checks off the boxes. I highly recommend taking them off (but saving them for resale / collectable value) and installing a matte black band and bezel (ie: DW-5600RR bezel, DW-5600BB band).

The bezel and band on this G-Shock are glossy and therefore stays cleaner and does not stain as easily as matte white G-Shocks.It ran about 20 seconds fast per month when I got it from you a few years ago, but I trimmed it down to about +4 spm. Normally, one could solve the poor-visibility problems of a negative display by turning on the auto EL. I was really worried of the legibility of the negative display especially after checking out some reviews on the net.

One thing though, the negative display is a bit harder to see when comparing it to a positive display. Additionally, it features the Multi-band 6 function, which allows it to receive standard radio waves from six stations around the world. The moon data feature also displays the age of the moon in a set area, adding to the watch's functionality. My only complaint is that the factory installed band and bezel do not look real great, due to the glossy finish, bright multi-colored text, and asymmetrical mesh pattern.
