I take a blood thinning drug and it has resulted in the skin on my arms becoming paper thin and liable to cuts or tears. A commonly adopted strategy of reducing pain related to dressings is avoiding the use of adhesive dressings and choosing a non-adherent wound product designed to minimise pain on removal, such as silicone-coated dressings (Brown, 2014). It's designed to mould softly to skin without sticking to the moist wound – so you can remove it with minimal risk of damaging the wound or skin .

Safetac ® technology does not adhere to the wound bed, but forms a seal around the wound margin, therefore reducing the risk of maceration (Patton et al, 2013; David et al, 2018).Mepitel One is a wound contact layer designed for the management of a wide range of exuding wounds such as; skin tears, skin abrasions, surgical incisions, partial thickness burns, traumatic wounds, partial and full thickness grafts, radiated skin, leg and foot ulcers.
