It's a shame Chazelle just seems so damn intent on revealing, and revelling in, the horrors of Hollywood that it's hard to see any love left come the closing titles, despite an intention for quite the opposite. Damien Chazelle's brazenly debauched Box Office bomb, Babylon, is an extravagantly excessive exercise in excess, but it cleans up nicely in 4KDV with Atmos.

The Costumes of Babylon (HD, 2:51) — Over 7,000 costumes for the film, 150 speaking parts and each having 15 changes and Chazelle says that he wanted the people to speak through their costumes.I cannot recommend highly enough this film to those of you interested in British Black Independent Cinema. Dynamics: Babylon features a bumping and thumping Atmos track that really knows how to paint a room and also contrast with big hits from scene to scene.

This evening I thought I’d watch the extras and thought ‘ah, I’ll check the Blu Ray version of the film on the second disc’ only to find that this second disc only has the extras! It's been suggested from another site that it could be a layer change - has anyone else seen this or is it the way my Oppo 203 handles this? Performers here all doing a damn fine job, but there’s a scene with Jean Smart addressing Brad Pitt later in the film that is one of my absolute favorites of the year and really deserves giving her tons of recognition. I think this is a film all lovers of cinema, whether you like classic or different independant films, you should give this exptic quirky film a chance.
