About this deal

When I compare it to the Lightstrike midsole in the adidas ZG23, the Ignite Foam midsole in the Puma Ignite Articulate and the midsole in the Ecco Biom G5, the FootJoy has pipped them all to the post for comfort. The HyperFlex Carbon still feels a like a larger shoe than the likes of the adidas ZG23 and Puma Ignite Articulate and it's also on the heavier side when compared to the other best spiked shoes of the year, so bear that in mind if you want a more lightweight spiked golf shoe in your rotation. Dan has now tested and reviewed over 30 pairs of golf shoes since he joined Golf Monthly and is an expert in the field. Now available in two new colours, providing the perfect balance of control and stability through your swing while delivering all-day comfort.

Two types of added inner support provide superior walking comfort, and an integrated thermoplastic saddle wraps your foot to maintain maximum contact with the group throughout the swing to improve energy transfer. High performance engineered mesh with TPU yarns that combines with a soft and comfortable athletic waterproof knit upper to deliver incredible retention properties, while providing waterproof protection. The carbon plate then wraps around the FTF+ midsole it and adds targeted stiffness realised through the swing.

One thing worth noting is that while the uppers are easy to clean, the fabric sock area can be a bit trickier if mud gets on it. Although I'm not a huge fan of the pink, lime and blue flashes of colour, I think the performance of the shoes will sway me to wear these on a regular basis. An integrated thermoplastic saddle wraps your foot for lateral control and the Power Stabiliser design maintains connection to the ground for maximum energy transfer. With FJ throwing around words like: athlete, modern, fine-tuned and (you guessed it) carbon - there's clearly a bunch of new tech packed into these golf shoes. The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon wide golf shoes are stable, durable, washable and should have no problem outliving their two-year waterproof warranty.

The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon provides superior feel with its StratoFoam midsole compound for supple cushioning while remaining stable due to its mesh TPU yarns, resulting in enhanced structure and support. The FootJoy HyperFlex is offered in white/blue, black, and grey for men and white/purple, gray, and pink for women. And while FootJoy’s lineup features primarily traditional designs and longtime favorites, they do like the stretch their creative wings from time to time. Ortholite® Impressions FitBed® provides immediate step-in comfort and molds over time for a truly custom fit.

Carbon Enforced Stability - A custom-moulded carbon fibre plate is wrapped around the FTF+ midsole for unmatched structure and support. Regardless, let’s take a look at the FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon golf shoes through the “wide-angle” lens. I really love this feature as it makes it impossible for the top part of the shoe to become misaligned during play. days in Spain at the pga course in camiral, straight from the box, absolutely no problems and very comfortable.

As we've become accustomed to see in FootJoy shoes in recent years, the HyperFlex Carbon also feature an OrthoLite Impressions FitBed that moulds for a custom fit over time. The original HyperFlex golf shoe was a very popular model as well as one of the most athletic styles FootJoy has offered across its extensive history. The HyperFlex Carbon fits true to size, but if you prefer a tighter fit there is definitely room to go down half a size. StratoFoam absorbs shock on every step to reduce walking impact between shots, and FTF+ provides added stability through a stiffer perimeter support. StratoFoam uses a proprietary blend of cushioning to provide optimal support and comfort for conditions encountered while playing golf - swinging, walking and everything in between.

The previous generation Hyperflex was universally lauded for its excellence, but had one glaring flaw: stability. The FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon wide golf shoes’ award-winning pedigree is reinforced in the wide version of the shoe as well.A helpful back pull tab, like the one in the Under Armour Charged Phantom SL meant the shoe was easy to get on with little faff. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the spectacular white/purple women’s color scheme should also be available in men’s models. Pulsar LP cleats by Softspikes low profile spikes that deliver stability and support from the moment you step on the course.
