By the day after my first play I was already thinking about it obsessively and I continued to do so until I finally got the chance to try it again. The first three seasons provide new actions (tiles) that are then distributed to the players’ villages as new ones come out. Keyflower gives you a great combination of tension from multiple genres that combine to be extremely enjoyable. Before the start of winter, each player has to select which of their tiles (at least one) will be available for auction that round. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

A player may acquire resources, skills, additional workers and victory points by placing workers on the tiles in their own village, in other players' villages and (except in winter) on the current season's tiles being bid for. If you get outbid, you can redistibute those pilgrims to another tile assuming there are any legal places to put them. The game takes place over the following year and is divided up into four rounds depicting the four seasons from Spring to Winter.

This is definitively brilliant and something I hope gets re-introduced into Keyflower through a mini-expansion. C Sort the resource counters into the four different types to create a general supply at the side of the playing surface.And, since I placed red meeples on your tile, I may have prevented you from being able to use your own tile! When you were the player in the position of power, wielding the green keyples you can get away with anything. The pilgrims come in three different colours (red, blue and yellow) and your selection are kept hidden from the other players. If you use most of your workers to take actions then you won’t have much to do with the tools and resources you get and will not score many points from your village tiles.

One of the most satisfying parts of Keyflower was being the only player with green keyples available. They say it's a good family game with a solid bidding-based Eurogame with some interesting mechanics and no obvious "best".

Sometimes a game's box doesn't immediately attract your attention, but something else causes you to try it out. I’ve seen games where one player and her pool of green keyples ends up with nearly all of the winter tiles, or where she blocks off players from using their own tiles by simply placing out one green keyple. Contracts can be traded for one on the resource shown, and scores points if players allocate resources to complete the contract.
