Rhian and James: Joss' friends from University who have an argument which leads almost to a break up but is fixed by Joss. The process of getting used to a new city has several stages and, 18 months on, I feel that I am slowly becoming familiar with Edinburgh. Jo is known for being extremely beautiful, tall, clever, caring and having a smart mouth, yet she is unsure about herself. The cost of the three-piece suit he was wearing could have fed me and Rhian on crappy student food for our entire four years of college.

I think Braden is exactly the type of person Joss needed in her life to help her get back on track, so perhaps their perfect compatibility was part of why I still liked the story as much as I did even though Joss could sometime be a bit vexing. We have an open bar in the coworking space from 4-7pm and it is a great chance to get to know your fellow Coworkers, relax, network, have a drink, and celebrate your wins. A key can be obtained for the beautiful private gardens at Queen Street Gardens East on application. His jacket was tossed across an armchair and a near empty mug of coffee was sitting beside an open newspaper on the coffee table. He is able to outsmart Joss and confusing her but is stunned by her quick-wit, strength and her confidence, things which made him fall in love with her in first place. She and Braden share the same father but she has with Clark Nichols a stepfather and with Hannah and Declan younger half-siblings. I couldn’t really give him much of a wide berth and had to ignore the flutter of butterflies in my stomach as I caught a whiff of the delicious cologne he was wearing. One learns very quickly in Edinburgh about its hills, and the incline of Scotland St, and especially Dublin St is very steep. She is the first who wins Joss' love immediately, although Joss at first claims, being not interested in Ellie's or Braden's life.

The attraction she'd felt for him in the cab, instantly heats back up, but she stubbornly tries to keep him at arm's length until he makes his proposal. On the basement level on George street, the ceilings were low, the circular sofas and square cubes that acted as seats were low, and the bar area was actually built a few levels lower, meaning drunken people had to walk down three steps to get to us. Edinburgh’s New Town began in the mid-eighteenth century and was developed in response to the overcrowded medieval streetscape of Old Town, to the south. As soon as the door swung open and I first saw Ellie Carmichael, I knew I was probably going to like her.Joss is 22-years-old and known as a short, straightforward, attractive and tough young woman with dirty blonde hair, a husky voice and cat-like gray eyes. I tore across the wide road, managing not to get squashed like a green and white bug against some poor person’s windshield, and rushed toward the cab with a single-minded determination to grab the door handle. With my dark blonde, brownish hair piled in a wet mess atop my head, I stormed back out into the hall to face him. They are interrupted by another co-worker, Alistair, and Braden uses the moment to get Joss to a conversation about their situation, to which Joss reluctantly agrees. Even when I wanted to roll my eyes within the first few scenes when I guessed who Braden was to Joss from their initial meeting, assuming this was going to be, forgive me for saying your ‘typical romance story’, I didn’t expect to find myself so in love with this story, addicted to the way Samantha Young’s words were bringing out all the emotions in me and connecting with the characters that she had created.

On Dublin Street was the second book in a row that featured a heroine who has lost her whole family, experiences panic attacks because of it, and who is reluctant to make plans for the future. He and Ellie have the same father, Douglas Carmichael and even though he has his mother Evelyn, he prefers Ellie's family over her.

At the end, Joss realizes that she's still far from finally moving on but with the help of Braden, she'll be able to find her own peace, truly recover from her past and find a brand new start in life, alongside the new people she met and will meet. She finds out that Braden and Ellie have the same dad, Douglas Carmichael, who never asked after them and died, and that Braden views Ellie's family more as family than his own mother and that he had to mature at a very young age. It's strange how I can sometimes go for a long time without reading a particular romance trope or perhaps never having read it at all, and then coincidentally pick up two books in close succession that share a strong similarity. This time, I raised my eyebrow at him and waited for him to unglue those gorgeous eyes of his from my bare skin.
