About this deal

Have you noticed that a lot of the earplug manufacturers are now using a super smooth finish foam earplug instead of a slightly porous? In fact, most PU foam earplugs that initially appear soft when rolling them up exert substantially more pressure in my ear. They are somewhat more effective overall and more economical because they keep their shape for longer. For this review, I have put them through some detailed testing (noise reduction, size, comfort, ease of insertion).

While they kept name and colour of the product, the box now sports the banner “New SOFTER for more comfort!Flents PROTECHS Quiet Time ear plugs (the established, spongier version is on the left): note the differences in length, diameter, and materials. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire.

If there are healthcare concerns or questions, please contact your licensed healthcare professional for advice. Flents adopted the memory foam idea in their Quiet Please earplugs, which had been produced unaltered back to at least the early 1980s, possibly earlier. All in all though, Protechs Quiet Please are still a very good choice for reducing low frequency noise, provided you change them more often.

I have just written a letter to the CEO of Apothecary Products who owned Flents, they have changed the originsl foam ones and I am freaking out because nothing else works for me. They are a tad less effective overall than the highest rated PU-plugs, but in terms of low frequency attenuation they do very well in my ear. However changing the supplier also changed the complete earplug design: the new version under the old name is a completely different product. To make foam earplugs work well, you have to be able to insert them (almost) completely into your ear and still be comfortable. They are the mini-version of the Quiet Contour, and while somewhat less effective, they are still good. The Flents stay put and do actually deaden sound better I have tried the brightly colored soft foam earplugs and they usually will fall out during the night. Whether it's for a peaceful night's sleep or enjoying a concert without the deafening noise, these earplugs have proven their value time and time again.

ear plugs because they were the only ear plugs that fit into my ears properly, were easy to shape and insert, didn't make my ears hurt or make me wake up with a sore jaw, and were effective in truly blocking out noise like my husband's snoring.Warnings: Keep earplugs away from infants and small children as they may get caught in the windpipe and create a choking hazard. The Flents Quiet Time (NRR 33) and Quiet Contour (NRR 33) earplugs perform about the same across the whole tested range. Our simple, no-frills solutions for home healthcare and personal protection help you feel better and back to doing what you love. I have very fine hair, but you would never believe it since I started using the Biotin and Collagen Thickening.
