Given how bright and happy this scent is, I would want people around me to notice and enjoy the scent together. So overall I think it is slightly improved on the original, but let it sit for a while and try it later on. In general, on paper, the smell can last for days (the better) and it has a pyramid if it is done well! I’m completely addicted to smelling this and when I wear something else I regret not putting on Cedrat Boise, that’s how much I like it.

It is weird but I like very strong, beast mode type fragrances but this one is the closest I have to making me nauseous. The smoking ash tray comments below have some merit and I smell what you’re smelling but this smoke is not smoke. This intense version is a big improvement from the OG, especially when comparing against recent OG batches. Not hating on the scent but adding to some of the other reviewers who say they get trash performance, me too. This is the main reason why people think most of the Mancera fragrances got reformulated into weaker versions, in reality, they just switched sprayers.

For that reason alone, I much rather prefer the Intense version, much more stable, much more well put together, versatile, likeable, like what this was, with a touch of modern refinement, that one is a potential staple. I suppose the big question is this: if you own the original, is this version redundant to begin with? Mancera continues to impress, it’s truly the niche sleeper, consistently trying something new, and executing quite well. The compliments and attention are plus points but the personal satisfaction that I get from this is uffffff.

A more mature Cedrat Boise, suitable for daily wear or stylish combinations on cool summer evenings, to accompany you with style in your special invitations, dinners and meetings. Very strong opening that settles into what i only can describe as the old dior cologne mixed with the old dior homme. I detect a lot of wood and leather combing up to the forefront rather quickly that give the fragrance a hefty weight.I like it enough to keep it, but I'm not sure how much I will wear it, so I will downgrade from a Love to a Like now that the first flush of enthusiasm has subsided. I just read through the reviews, and it seems that most people perceive this as a masculine fragrance, which surprised me, because this is way, way sweeter than anything my own husband would wear. The fragrance opens with a burst of refreshing and zesty citrus notes, led by the star ingredient, cedrat, which provides a distinctive and nuanced aroma that is both invigorating and intriguing. Opening is very citrusy with a tiny little bit of a sweet note, right after it smells like fresh fruits, still citrusy, and definitely smells like a walk through the woods; specially if you apply it on your clothes. That said, the performance is objectively superior, so if you do like the fragrance a lot, enough to smell this way for many hours, it's a bargain, even though it's not a cheapie.
