We see the way they react and the things they learn, and we see so much new stuff that it's hard to recount it all and consider all of the implications it has right off for the Cosmere. I really hope that Brandon ends up writing secret history parts 2 and 3, because I'd love to know how he finally gets off Scadrial and whether or not he interacts with Hoid some more. Vin and Elend's arrival at the Well gives Kelsier hope that he will be able to get through to her, but as a cognitive aspect with no connection to the Physical Realm, he can't, so Kelsier takes Leras's knife and stabs Elend as the mist spirit to motivate Vin to use the power to save Elend.

As such, it contains huge spoilers for the books Mistborn (The Final Empire), The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages. Physical descriptions of Ati and Leras, to start with, including clothing that struck me as very interesting. The third era of Mistborn is slated to be written after the first arc of the Stormlight Archive wraps up.

Other people, victims of the Lord Ruler's purge, arrive in the Realm with Kelsier and are almost immediately pulled away to the Beyond. It only changes a shit ton of stuff we assumed about the original trilogy and the Wax and Wayne books.

This series is my love letter to the epic fantasy genre, and it’s the type of story I always dreamed epic fantasy could be. And that's another thing - one of the most valid complaints about the original trilogy has to do with the end of The Well of Ascension, wherein Vin takes up the power of Preservation, gives it up, and then saves Elend's life by giving him the last bead of Lerasium - and the outcome of this is that she's doomed the world by freeing Ruin and made Elend a more powerful Mistborn than her.Mistborn: Secret History was originally published 30 January 2016 by Dragonsteel Entertainment as an ebook. He tells Leras to stab Elend, but he can't do it, so Kelsier grabs his arm and slashes Elend for him. With a renewed sense of purpose, Kelsier studies Ruin and his motives, riding out the pulses into the world. Kelsier is able to see a little ways into the future, and he sees that there is still hope for the city. It's not very long (although it felt more like a very short novel than a novella), but provides some long sought after answers relating to both the Mistborn characters and lore.
