I don't find that it detracts from enjoying the CD particularly if you were a teenager during the 80's as it really takes you back. High Tempo Dance and Hi-NRG found mainstream success in the mid-80s with floor-fillers from Evelyn Thomas, Miquel Brown, Man 2 Man, Boys Town Gang and Patrick Cowley feat. By the late 80s, club culture informed and popularised a huge number of new styles of dance music including House, Eurodance, Jack-Swing, Techno, and an evolution in Soul… the final disc highlights some of the best from the end of the decade.

Disc 2 kicks off with The Communards’ chart topper ‘Don't Leave Me This Way’ before a string of massive number ones from Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Duran Duran, Soft Cell, The Human League, Culture Club and the party staple ‘Come On Eileen’ from Dexys Midnight Runners. The album debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling just under 34,000 copies in its first week. O.S Band with ‘Just Be Good To Me’ and also included here are hugely influential Electro-Pop gems from Freeez, Rockers Revenge feat.
