Description

It follows Dianna, a dangerous woman with supernatural powers and Liam, a damaged God, struggling with PTSD and focuses on their relationship as they work together to save the world… It was all kinds of amazing! TL;DR – A fantastic fantasy fiction with a unique world of Gods and Monsters, swoon-worthy and lovable characters, a profound relationship development, and action-packed with an unpredictable plotline and an unexpected cliffhanger. They’re decently explained so you can empathize with why she continues to humor and sleep with him, etc.

She works for this total asshat named Kaden, who uses her love and bond with her sister to control her. Nevertheless, I am looking forwards to read the sequel since that ending promises me a corruption arc and some dangerous raging. She was my enemy, yet my enemy was the only one who seemed to understand me and the demons I fought. Many centuries ago, desperate to save her dying sister, Dianna made a deal with Kaden, a monster far worse than any nightmare. I have never seen such mature protagonists and even more mature relationship development…they have my heart!liam barely understands modern language since he isolated himself, so the exchanges between them both was fun to read! Now she must do what he asks, even if that means securing an ancient relic from the very creatures that hunt her. Oh and what about huge jacked alpha guy/god with a beard and silver tattoos and insane power who turns ferally possessive over the girl? The only thing that I wasn't the biggest fan of was the constant mention and reminder of why Dianna is doing all this. The fact that she starts the book as a villain just makes it so much better because I love a morally grey, or just sometimes grey, characters.

Her character grows immensely as she breaks her restraints and focuses on herself as she tries to save the world. I cannot recommend this book more, it is absolutely phenomenal and easily one of my favorite books I've read. I like the storyline, which is very interesting and complex, full of mysteries and interesting characters.

every page is them ranting about each other and if it's not that, we get those long ass flashbacks or some stupid explaining about some stupid shit i couldn't care less about.

There was an elaborate fantasy world with gods, demon-like creatures, vampires, werewolves, witches, banshees, shadow-people, and more (there were humans too). And even though we didn't get a lot of spice in this book, their interactions are full of angst and tension. It was a bit drawn out in places and the plot could have used a little more development, but I did enjoy it. Dianna is feisty and fierce, a true shape-shifting warrior woman (do you see a trend in the FMCs that I love?Change country: -Select- Albania Algeria American Samoa Andorra Angola Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Argentina Armenia Aruba Azerbaijan Republic Bahamas Bahrain Bangladesh Barbados Belgium Belize Benin Bermuda Bhutan Bolivia Bosnia and Herzegovina Botswana Brazil British Virgin Islands Brunei Darussalam Bulgaria Burkina Faso Burundi Cambodia Cameroon Cape Verde Islands Cayman Islands Central African Republic Chad Chile China Colombia Comoros Cook Islands Costa Rica Cyprus Czech Republic Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Democratic Republic of the Congo Denmark Djibouti Dominica Dominican Republic Ecuador Egypt El Salvador Equatorial Guinea Eritrea Estonia Ethiopia Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) Fiji Finland French Guiana French Polynesia Gabon Republic Gambia Georgia Ghana Gibraltar Greece Greenland Grenada Guadeloupe Guam Guatemala Guernsey Guinea Guinea-Bissau Guyana Haiti Honduras Hong Kong Hungary Iceland India Indonesia Iraq Israel Jamaica Japan Jersey Jordan Kazakhstan Kenya Kiribati Kuwait Kyrgyzstan Laos Latvia Lebanon Lesotho Liberia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macau Macedonia Madagascar Malawi Malaysia Maldives Mali Malta Marshall Islands Martinique Mauritania Mauritius Mayotte Mexico Micronesia Moldova Monaco Mongolia Montenegro Montserrat Morocco Mozambique Namibia Nepal Netherlands Netherlands Antilles New Caledonia New Zealand Nicaragua Niger Nigeria Niue Norway Oman Pakistan Palau Panama Papua New Guinea Paraguay Peru Philippines Poland Portugal Puerto Rico Qatar Republic of Croatia Republic of the Congo Reunion Romania Rwanda Saint Helena Saint Kitts-Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Pierre and Miquelon Saint Vincent and the Grenadines San Marino Saudi Arabia Senegal Serbia Seychelles Sierra Leone Singapore Slovakia Slovenia Solomon Islands South Africa South Korea Sri Lanka Suriname Svalbard and Jan Mayen Swaziland Sweden Taiwan Tajikistan Tanzania Thailand Togo Tonga Trinidad and Tobago Tunisia Turkey Turkmenistan Turks and Caicos Islands Tuvalu Uganda United Arab Emirates United Kingdom Uruguay Uzbekistan Vanuatu Vatican City State Venezuela Vietnam Virgin Islands (U. And the magic was only some foreplay that reminded me of the scene in ACOMAF when Rhysand and Feyre share a bed, he finger bangs her, and then they go to sleep. I also appreciated that these two were proper enemies as a lot of books that claim this, that just isn’t the case, they are frenemies at best, these two were the real deal and initially hated each other's guts. The fact that she goes through so much shit but still manages to have that fire in her spirit and come out of it alive stamps her as one of my favourite heroines from all of the fantasy books I’ve read.
