The DN372T boxes are a different generation to the ones in the guide above so will work differently. I don't find it that bad, yes its a little slow in operational (painfully slow sometimes and I hate the god awful splash screen that you can't turn off and the 'tiles') but it does have a lot of features that I still don't think are available in any other freeview box (certainly from an app point of view) and it still seems to be supported/updated (despite those updates not always being good. Hi Rob, The drives are formatted with Linux-compatible partitions so if you boot up your computer using a Linux live-CD or live-USB image you should then be able to read the files off the YouView hard drive.
