About this deal

Roskin, Gary A. (1994) Photo Masters for Diamond Grading. Gemworld International, Northbrook, Illinois. ISBN: 0-9641-7330-1 I see the complaints from some people that the author is trademarking some stones so he can resell at higher prices. Well, I cannot blame him for being an entrepreneur and wanting to cash in on his years of experience and knowledge. However, I do appreciate the heads up and it explains why so many of the mentioned stones were hard to find.

It has photos and short descriptions that include metaphysical properties, significant meanings, and historical uses of each stone. Rolling Stones Gear: All the Stones’ Instruments from Stage to StudioBy Andy Babuik and Greg Prevost***A dear friend of mine once told me: “tools are the silent witnesses to mankind’s accomplishments.” But these tools are anything but silent; they’re shreddin’. Grab Rolling Stones Gear for a comprehensive guide to the instruments that made The Rolling Stones possible. Everyday Crystal Rituals is a well-written book, easy to use, and understand. With this book, you’ll learn to manifest your desires with crystals. From the moment you touch the wonderfully textured cover of ‘Under Your Feet’, you realise that you are on a sensory journey of discovery.Rosina abruptly hands me over to Almaz... I whimper on Almaz's shoulder, perilously close to the bubbling cauldrons. Almaz puts down the laddle and shifts me to her hip. Reaching into her blouse, grunting with effort, she fishes out her breast. Set in Addis Ababa some fifty (or so) years ago, this is the story of twins born joined at the head, their mother - a nun – and their British surgeon father. I’ll not delve deeper into the storyline as I always believe its better as a reader to dive in with minimal knowledge and just let the story unfold. And this is a big story. It’s the story of Ethiopia from that time and it’s a tale of intimate friendships, of abandonment and of the bonds of family (and of adopted family).

Crystal Clear explores and demystifies the history, properties and modern self-care appeal of crystals through voice-driven personal essays from Jaya Saxena. In the book, Jaya reflects on – and challenges – the ideas associated with eleven popular crystals. By sharing her perspective, Jaya guides readers on an exploration of how we assign meaning and power to crystals and thus, our lives. The tight cause and effect of these characters' fates is masterful - both devastating and exhilarating. Aimed at young children Curious about Fossils provides a great introduction to fossils including information about their Victorian discovery and doesn’t just cover fossils being dinosaurs so looks at plant fossils, sea creatures and even common fossils like sharks teeth. Standing on top of the tumulus, the countryside fanned out into the distance and the huge scale of the Alignments, one of the world's largest Neolithic monuments, became clear. Covering an area of 40 hectares, the fields of stones stretched further than I could see. It seemed unbelievable that thousands of menhirs weighing several tonnes each were quarried, moved and erected in an age when stone tools were the height of technology. Overall, this book is really great. It is a bit similar to the crystal bible except that it covers many more crystals.

But who in their right mind would like to put down a book beginning like this: "My brother, Shiva, and I came into the world in the late afternoon of the twentieth of September in the year of Grace 1954. We took our first breath in the thin air, 8 000 feet above sea level, of the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa."
