Description

To celebrate both the 20th Anniversary of Firefly the show, & 10 years of publishing board games: Gale Force Nine are proud to present... Take a look at GF9's Firefly The Game, in its entirety. It's the Whole Gorram Collection! In this video you can see the base game along with all the expansions and extras which are all available now.

Firefly boasts a range of expansions to add even more to your game. The great thing about this game is that the expansions can be added depending on what you want to add to your game. ‘Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!’– Hoban ‘Wash’ Washbourne Once you get a great crew together in the game, Misbehaving and completing jobs becomes very simple and has low/zero risk. This expansion changes that alright! More (and tougher) misbehaves and nicer rewards make this a very important late game expansion. Unification War is the last of the community created jobs that won our creation contest! This mission was created by Roberto Moralejo is a mission that sees you recreating the famous battle of Serenity Valley as the men of the 57th Independent Ground Brigade. Or do you want to explore the WHOLE ‘Verse? Then you’ll love the ‘Blue Sun’ and ‘Kalidasa’ expansions which extends the board on both ends and adds a heap more content from ‘Serenity’ including new missions and new items to add to your shops. Fair warning – if you’re struggling to fit the base game on your table, you might need to buy a bigger table before you buy these board expansions! As well as all the past expansions for the game and every promo card released, the upcoming release will also include a brand new expansion, Still Flying, that includes Monty’s Restless Sole ship, capers and job cards.

Escape the Dragon's Lair is the first of the community created jobs that won our creation contest! This mission was created by Joseph Kepler and it is a daring heist which is going to start this series of community missions off with a bang! Big Damn Rule Book: All rules are in one big PDF and the rule book can "pop-out" so no more holding ALT to view it. Goals are also taken from the show, either in a general theme or a specific aspect of Firefly, such as; “No power in the ‘verse can stop me,” or the Washburns or Browncoats all very familiar to those who watch the show. There is a small secret joy to completing a goal linked to your favourite episode or scene.

Rarity

With more expansions in the works Firefly is definitely one to watch if you’re looking for a quality space adventure. (Tom Randell, www.gamesquest.co.uk/blog) Buy your copy here. Ship Colors and Accessories: Tweaked ship colors to better match ship cards and make them more distinct from each other. Gave every ship a color matched Haven Token, Firefly die, and compact calculator. I also included ship specific drive core cards for the older ships. Not original, but is it really fair that only the upgrade ships get this? It doesn't change game play, It just looks cool. I will also include qwek from BGG's "Unique Firefly's" variant. Which gives each ship a starting upgrade, branded for that ship. It helps even out the original ships with the shiny upgrade ships. This variant can be removed to play the original base game. But I love this small change so it will be standard. Original, non visually branded, drive cores are available to use if you really want that "original game" experience. But this game mat ain’t the only shiny thing to add to your game! Now your control console gets an upgrade with the Cargo Hold “Shiny” Token Set. Each set contains a set of full-color laser-cut acrylic tokens to upgrade one player’s ship card. These durable plastic tokens make every spot in your Cargo Hold shiny! Stand out from other captains with GF9’s newest Firefly accessory! The Cargo Hold Shiny Token Set is available in the online store. The first thing I modified was the movement of the Alliance Cruiser and the Reaver Cutter. I decided that a random movement was appropriate. I numbered the spaces they could go and randomly rolled (if this was more than 6 then I used two dice with the first space being a two on the dice). This seemed to work, but in my next game I will change this to move towards my ship where possible to make it a bit more cutthroat. After a player has finished their 2 actions, the next player takes their turn. Play continues in this manner until one player has achieved the scenario’s goal and wins. Firefly comes with a number of detailed plastic miniatures. Each player gets their own Firefly class ship and there are also ships for the Reavers and Alliance Cruiser. Game Experience:

Keepers are thematic and lifted straight from the TV show, the crew of Serenity are included along with some of the gear and items from it and some of these keepers do something, wash can steal serenity and Vera can stop people plundering from you, but most are just to meet the goal cards. We hesitated to make, yet another version of Firefly. After making a ton of mods for our own use, we decided to make a public version. While sprucing it up for prime time... we realized there were too many things that we wanted to change, so we started over from scratch. We did grab a very few assets from previous mods like the ship models. If anyone ever wants to make better ships, please let us know! Here are some Later this year, two sets of travelers join the crew of the Serenity in GF9’s Firefly Adventures. The Respectable Folk set includes companion Inara Serra and preacher Shepherd Book while the Wanted Fugitives set includes physician Simon Tam and the gifted River Tam. Each potential new Crew Member adds new skills and abilities to your adventures. Each Crew Expansion comes with four Crew miniatures (in both Casual and Heroic poses), two double-sided Crew cards, ten Equipment cards, two new Jobs and the box bottom also doubles as a new building.

After the Earth was used up, we found a new solar system and hundreds of new Earths were terra-formed and colonized. The central planets formed the Alliance and decided all the planets had to join under their rule. There was some disagreement on that point. After the War, many of the Independents who had fought and lost drifted to the edges of the system, far from Alliance control. Out here, people struggled to get by with the most basic technologies; a ship would bring you work, a gun would help you keep it. A captain's goal was simple: find a crew, find a job, keep flying.”– Shepherd Derrial Book

Navigate the complete ‘Verse with the Firefly: The Game – The Whole Damn 'Verse vinyl game mat. Full Burn from the thriving Core Worlds of Alliance Space to the farthest reaches of Rim Space. This comprehensive 50" x 20" game mat includes the planetary systems of Firefly: The Game and both its Rim Space Expansions, Blue Sun and Kalidasa. Tool Tips: All items should have a tool tip when you mouse over them. Reports of missing tool tips or spelling errors are welcomed and encouraged. But what about the other expansions? Well, a big damn hero called Ken Savage has written an excellent yet succinct breakdown of the 11 various expansions and what they do. So from here on in, its Ken’s words. Over to you Ken! (Matt steps away from the keyboard to go misbehave somewhere else). This beautiful 6’ x 4’ play surface is inspired by the spectacular game tables that GF9 commissions for our events. This game mat is miles more worthy than any table you’d play your games of Firefly on and is sure to become an object of extreme sentimental value. “Vera” is the ultimate Firefly: The Game playing surface. In Firefly: Misbehavin', players control different factions of the Firefly 'Verse, from the criminal enterprises of Badger or Niska, to the self-righteous Alliance, and even Serenity as Mal attempts to find a crew and keep flyin' Orientation: All items orient to the map with their bottoms to the south and tops to the north. NO SIDEWAYS or UPSIDE-DOWN items. All players should keep their view of the board as if sitting on the south side. Set up your ship card on your ship template in that way also, even if your area is on the north side of the board. No More swinging your POV around the table over and over again.
