Description

When it comes to gaming keyboards, there are a few different switch types that are popular among gamers. Kailh Box Jade Switches and Cherry MX Blues are two of the most common. Both switches have their pros and cons, so it can be tough to decide which one is right for you. Additionally, the Corsair STRAFE RGB MK2 is fully programmable so you can create your own custom macros or key bindings. So, how do you choose the right Kailh Box Jade switch? It all depends on what you’re looking for in a keyboard switch. They are PCB-mounted switches, which means that they can be used with any type of mechanical keyboard (without clipping).

Overall, the weighting is prefect for my fingers! It’s a great switch for those looking for a heavier BOX White, but want something lighter than a BOX Navy. Sound: 7/10 Kailh Box Jades are the current industry standard for mechanical keyboard switches. However, there are alternatives to Kailh Box Jade switches that may be a better fit for your needs. Hope you all liked this, it's definitely my longest post ever so feel free to critique my formatting too ;) Kailh Box Jade Switches are a new switch brand that is making a big name for itself in the keyboard community. Kailh Box switches are known for their quiet and smooth operation, as well as their long lifespan. The Kailh Box Jade Switch has a reputation for being very smooth and having a quiet operation. They are often compared to the Cherry MX Brown switch, which is also known for its smooth feel and quiet operation. Kailh has a variety of different mechanical switches such as BOX switches, speed switches, low profile, and many other one-off specialty switches. Kailh switches have a notorious reputation for being scratchy, but some of their switches are really well made. I have been using Kailh Box Jade switches for a while now and I have to say, I love them! They are so smooth and responsive, making typing a joy. I never have to worry about missed keystrokes or accidental key presses with these switches. I would say, test the Silent switches out first before buying a whole set. It is a different experience altogether. Kailh Low-Profile Switches Color There are a TON of different Kailh switches, so we’ll do our best to go over them all and give our recommendations.

PRO TIP: The “box” in box switches doesn’t have anything to do with the shape of the stem (which features a box), but rather a separate, tiny box inside of the switch housing. the “box” in Kailh Box switches Kailh Box Jade switches are used in a variety of mechanical keyboards, including gaming keyboards and enthusiast keyboards. Conclusion They are not a bad option if you are on a budget, but I typically prefer Gateron switches if you are looking for a tactile or linear switch. As mentioned before, Kailh switches are usually on the scratchy side, especially the direct Cherry MX clones.Kailh Box Jade Switches are the newest addition to Kailh’s line of mechanical keyboard switches. They are a step up from the Kailh Blue switches, with a shorter travel distance and a higher actuation point. They are also available in both linear and tactile varieties. The slider rails are not centered on the B side of the stem, making measurements like D impossible to functionally use for calculations. Kailh Box Jade Switches are a newer switch type than Cherry MX Blues. They are considered a mechanical switch, but they are a bit different than other mechanical switches. Kailh Box Jade Switches have a square housing, whereas most other mechanical switches have a cylindrical housing. For the statistics, without amplification and using the recording microphone my voice peaked at -10.508 dB while my typing peaked at -36.793 dB, without RNNoise enabled. With RNNoise enabled the peak was -16.356 dB and the typing was -36.793 dB. With the contrast tool, without RNNoise enabled my voice was at -36.85 RMS dB and my typing at -53.07 RMS dB for a difference of 16.22 RMS dB. With RNNoise enabled, my voice was at -42.92 RMS dB, my typing at -78.58 RMS dB, for a difference of 35.65 RMS dB, which is huge. Decibels are a logarithmic unit, not a linear one, so the actual difference here is far more than half.

If you’re looking for a gaming keyboard that offers the best possible experience, Kailh Box Jade Switches are the way to go. Alternatives to the Kailh Box Jades If there is any liquid or food residue on the switch, use a gentle cleaning solution (such as isopropyl alcohol) to clean it off. Be sure to dry the switch off thoroughly afterwards. The center pole is completely surrounded by the external design of the stem making it impossible to measure the non-tapered gauge of the stem like Measurement E typically does. When looking to buy a keyboard with Kailh Box Jade Switches, there are several factors you need to consider. First, you need to make sure the keyboard is compatible with your device. Overall, I’d consider these perfect typing switches, and I can tell you that not many switches in my collection can hold that title. It truly is an awesome job by both Kailhua and NovelKeys. Gaming Performance: 8/10In terms of topping out and bottoming out feeling, the Cherry MX Blues do marginally outpace the Kailh Box Mute Jades, though this is not entirely surprising given the hobby’s general fondness for Cherry nylon housings. We’ll go over which Kailh switches we recommend and talk about the ones we are not fans of to help save you from choosing the wrong switch on your next keyboard. An Overview of Kailh Switches For stem wobble, there is some, but not much. Along the North-South line the stem can move a noticeable amount between my fingers, though I do not think it is enough to be concerned about. Along the West-East line there is some movement, but it is far less, basically just enough to tell the stem is able to move. Remember, to ensure the stem can freely move up and down there will be some space for it to wobble in the housing.
