At the top of the mod, you’ll find an easy airflow control switch that slides to open the air intake from wide open to almost closed. As a result, you may engage in restricted DTL or MTL-style puffs. And at the top, you may install an available 510 adapter to use the setup as a box mod with your favorite atomizer, build, or tank. Vapeclub's offer is also the best - for the price it came with a 510 Adapter and a ZLIDE which I am yet to try! Nice option though :) Considering the Innokin Kroma-Z has a 3000mAh internal battery and filled with 4.5ml of e-liquid, its not heavy. The 4.5ml capacity pod sits nice and firmly in the device and holds on tight thanks to the 2 large magnets near the front of the base. The truth is, I’ve actually had the Kroma-Z quite a while – in early January, after using it for a week or so, I couldn’t find it!

The Kroma - R is fully adjustable to become just right for you, especially those more advanced in vaping and you can enjoy great vaping with Wattage (6 – 80W) and Voltage (1 – 7.5V) outputs and Soft, Normal and Boost Modes. Advanced users will love the custom Curve (wattage over time) function and Bypass mode, which emulates the output of a mechanical mod. I feel it’s important to mention battery performance over time. It was quite impressive only having a detrimental effect on flavour towards the end of the charge, regardless of battery size. So the vape is generally smooth on the inhale.The best advice I can give is to slow the whole plug and play process down, allowing air to escape while fitting. The new Kroma-Z Pod Mod is fully compatible with the entire Z-Coil line, making it desirable for vapers who have come to love the Zenith, Zenith Pro, and Zlide tanks. What I am mainly missing is brightness adjustment. The screen is quite dim, would have been nice if it could be brighter. A wide open vape will give similar experiences to those found when vaping 65W. Curiously though, flavour production wasn’t as good when placed under any kind of restriction. The Innokin Kroma-Z comes with two different coils, and two different airflow rings, which means, along with the two different airflow rings, there are multiple ways you can vape on this thing.

I started my testing with the 0.2-ohm coil, which performed best at around 70 watts. The flavor was great, and it lasted 100 mL before dying which was impressive. Just an excellent coil. Then with the 0.3-ohm coil, which I found best at around 40 watts. Flavor wasn’t as good as the 0.2-ohm coil, which was expected, but it was the best coil I’ve ever had at under 50 watts. I also got 80 mL of juice from it with no issues, which is great for that wattage. But then you have two optional airflow rings that fit onto the base of the coils. A pre-installed Direct To Lung Ring, and an ‘ MTL Precision Airflow Ring‘. It’s fine, I mean I cant really complain but its just not up there with some of the others. Especially with their 0.3Ω Mesh coil. Its a long way off its competitors. Is this device versatile to suit a new vaper, and an experienced one a like? Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. I used Dripping Desserts Gingerbread Custard to test the less powerful 0.3ohm mesh coil. As before it contained 3mg freebase nicotine.Still, the mesh coil struggles to generate the level of warmth I crave from the E juice. That’s a bit of a disappointment. Does it spoil the vape? Maybe, a little but I feel it’s acceptable because of the consistent overall quality I received. Flavour properties begin to shine and the bakery/pastry notes are more pronounced. The level of sweetness is elevated and livens up the profile while any previous wetness is left behind. The Kroma-Z is a equipped with a full range of integrated safety protections you’d expect from Innokin: Overheat protection, Charging protection, Short circuit protection, High Resistance protection, Cut-Off protection and Over-discharge protection. It’s not exactly exciting to hold, but its functional, practical and is to the standard we expect from Innokin – even though its a pod mod. How To fill the Innokin Kroma-Z Airflow wide open, its a fairly airy draw, and thanks to the drip-tip, the warmth comes through nicely, but the flavour is just a little plain that’s all.

With an ideal power with the coils in included and the type of vape from 6 to 40 watts. The Kroma Z Kit is delivered with a Z coil 0.3Ω and Z Coil 0.8Ω, for a good choice with a vape in MTL or R-DL. Note: the Kroma Z is also entirely compatible with the all the excellent coils from the Z Coils and Z Coil Mesh (Zenith, Zlide, etc.). The Kroma-Z is equipped with a magnetic pod bay by default which is not compatible with a 510 connected device. However, the Kroma-Z has a separate magnetic 510 connector adapter available which allows you to utilize all of your 510 devices with the Kroma-Z once attached, which is the standard threading for most vaporizers and atomizers. As the pod mod battle for domination continues and continues and continues forever, I feel the Innokin Kroma-Z actually takes place in a slight niche in the pod-mod world.Below the screen are the up and down buttons. The charging port is Type-C and located below the up and down buttons on the front of the mod. They don’t list the screen size, but it is nice and large and bright. It’s rectangular and I’m going to estimate it at 0.96 inches. Things have an immediate impact when stepping up to 65W (3.6V) and cutting airflow in half. The vape now becomes semi restrictive and pretty much around the level I personally prefer. The rear of the top plate slopes at a 45 degree angle adding some aesthetic quality but generally more for ergonomics. It feels quite natural to rest a pinkie there if thumb firing is your persuasion. Battery Door and Housing It’s also possible to chain vape at the maximum power setting of 80W (4V). That is impressive because I’ve had issues in the past when testing mesh at these levels. No dry hits here, folks! They’re well known for their association with Innokin and their unwavering advocacy within the vaping industry. I can only respect them for that.
