As you can tell from this review, I have become a San Martin fan because of their terrific quality and reasonable pricing. He doesn't know if it is really a manufacturer defect or damage caused by the previous owner (or you). Since there are multiple owners (aka some portion of unknown /unverifiable history) , there's no way he's going to offer you a goodwill replacement. I wouldn't either, frankly. You can have the same warranty as any other owner, which is apparently inspection and repair. I have occasionally debated getting a San Martin tuna homage vs. saving for a real one. Deep-sea diving won't be on the agenda here, as the 100m water resistance rating wouldn't quite cut the mustard. Despite that, it's still great for day-to-day usage; double that on the Q-Timex, and unlike some of their low-cost brass offerings, this one is thankfully fully stainless-steel. First, the size at 38mm is perfect for my 7 inch wrist. I have larger divers in my collection, but find myself wearing this one most consistently because of the size. This is a good quality alternative to homage watches sold on AliEx and microbrands that have the same specs at a higher price. I am very, very impressed with the SN004G. This is my second San Martin watch, and both watches are among my favorites in my collection. The quality of the SN004G was evident when I first received the watch, and now after two months, I have to say I like just about everything about it.

I only have two negatives to speak about. The bracelet is beautiful but to remove the link screws was very very fiddly. It’s doable but took me far longer then I expected. Across the top is a K1 hardened mineral crystal, which is more scratch-resistant than both Timex models, though it won't be as polishable.
