ASM #231-237 & Annual 16: Spider-Man: Mark of the Tarantula. Annual 16 is also collected in Avengers: Absolute Vision, Vol. 1 Marvel Team-Up launched in March 1972 alongside Amazing Spider-Man #106 as a vehicle for Marvel to use Spider-Man’s popularity to print stories with other – frequently more-obscure – characters. Collects Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #289-294 & Annual 20-21; Spider-Man vs. Wolverine; Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man (1976) #131-132; and Web of Spider-Man (1985) #29-32 During that era, Slott created new characters, updated old ones, developed the Spider-Verse, gave us the Superior Spider-Man, and more. He only left the title in 2018, his final issue being #801.

Titled Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man on its December 1976 debut, and shortened to simply The Spectacular Spider-Man with #134 (Jan. 1988), this was the second Amazing Spider-Man monthly comic-book spin-off series, after Marvel Team-Up, which also featured Spider-Man. The monthly title ran 264 issues (including a #−1 issue) and 14 Annuals until November 1998.
