These no bake Oreo bars with white chocolate are an excellent activity for kids who want to help in the kitchen! Let them be a part of the entire process without having to worry about the oven. If you are like me, that always feel like eating something “ SWEET” after lunch or dinner, this is it. The perfect bars for a sweet tooth. You will be obsessed! It makes a nice change and it’s certainly better than the Chocolate Crunch the brand brought out a couple of years ago, but I’d go for the Fudge Brownie bar over this any day. Peanut Butter and Jelly – 9/10 The centre is soft, fudgey and slightly chewy, just like the previous two bars but this time with a nice chocolate flavour. The caramel layer adds a richness and a hint of salt which mixes well with the chocolate coating to create an overall flavour that reminds of, well, a fudge brownie!Chocolate orange. You’re either a fan or you can’t stand it. If you’re one of the latter, you’ll be pleased to know that Grenade haven’t gone overboard with the orange flavour here. I have to say, the overall flavour is similar to that of the OG bar– maybe a little too familiar for some – probably owing to the caramel layer. There is some peanut flavour, but it’s much gentler than I, and other peanut lovers like me, would perhaps have liked. Texture-wise, it’s pretty similar to the other Grenade bar flavours, except the creme offers a smoother, creamier, texture than Grenade’s usual caramel layer and the Oreo pieces are less crunchy than the crispies found on the likes of Caramel Chaos and Jaffa Quake. With an already excellent flavour, Grenade could almost have gotten away without the Oreo pieces, but they do lend a nice crunch (and additional ‘authenticity’) to tie this bar together.

Lift the whole sheet of Oreo bars out of the pan by grabbing the parchment paper and place on a cutting board. Use a sharp knife to cut 9 square bars. Overall this wouldn’t be my go-to flavour – the banana flavour is just too artificial. It gets a 5/10 primarily because of the great texture and macros we’ve come to expect from the Carb Killa range. Peanut Nutter – 8/10 The base has a light, milky cocoa flavour – something Grenade hasn’t done in a while. It’s not an intense chocolate, but it shouldn’t be. The chocolate is rich, but it strikes just the right balance so as to not detract from the real star – the salted caramel.

Can I freeze this bark? Yes, it also freezes well for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving. After the successes of my M&M Cookie Bars, and Rolo Cookie Bars, I thought I would do something similar, so the Oreo Cookie Bars happened. HOWEVER… I knew that if I just did a cookie mixture, with some Oreos, it would be too dry. This meant I needed something Chocolatey! I had coincidentally been given one of the ‘Cadbury’s Big Bars’ for Christmas and it was the Oreo one, and this just seemed to ideal to miss it. White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 15-second increments, stirring between intervals until completely glossy and smooth. Pour melted white chocolate on top of the dough and smooth until even. All of Grenade’s flavours give regular chocolate bars a run for their money, but the Oreo bar takes it to the next level. Now, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I certainly used to rely on ‘Carb Killas’ (as the name suggests) to be a go-to, lower carb bar, so the higher carb count is something to watch.

The best part by far is the vanilla creme layer. It’s amazingly close to the real thing and the vanilla sweetness perfectly complements the richness of the cocoa base. The strawberry layer adds a nice tang, but it’s not sharp like the raspberry layer in the Dark Chocolate Raspberry bar. Rather than balancing the sweetness, the tang almost emphasises it. Oreos are so fun to create recipes with. If you are a lover of Oreos try this Gooey Oreo Brownies, Oreo Fluff Dessert Salad or No Bake Oreo Balls. With the Carb Killas, Grenade have managed to produce a bar which genuinely tastes like a chocolate bar. I’m not even lying, it’s amazing.

Appearance wise, it looks the same as the rest of the range, but with a nice looking dark chocolate coating, and there’s a strong smell of mint (duh) when you open it. If you’ve missed Grenade’s chocolate offerings, or if you’re just on the hunt for something classic yet sophisticated, this is the bar for you. Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Salt: Combined these create a softer, more fluffier cookie that will rise high when whisked together. It took me a while to become an oreo lover. I just didn’t like eating them plain. I loved them baked in something or even used as a crust. But I wasn’t a huge fan. I am more of an eat the middle of an oreo type of person.
