As a big fan of horror films, but also a parent of ten and eleven year old girls, I think that Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai is the perfect blend of adventure, action, and horror. It’s a scary movie at points and there are quite a few gory and violent scenes you may need a refresher on. 1984 was a long time ago, friends! Basically all the Gremlins in the film series were portrayed on screen by using animatronics and puppetry, as it was the only technique other than stop-motion to bring the creatures to life on screen. Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai season one is comprised of ten episodes. For the most part, they are all really good. A couple of them drag on a little bit, but it isn’t anything that takes away from the series as a whole. The first two episodes act as a set-up for a greater story, and the show really finds itself by the middle of the season. This is easily a series you could binge watch with your family, or savor and take your time with. Brendan Hay: Yeah. And it’s been great share not just movies that we love with our kids, as we both have children, but to pass that on to next generation. But also, these are films that gave us nightmares and getting to pass that on to our kids have been cool.

Tze Chun: Brendan and I were huge fans of the original Gremlins movies. It was an incredibly formative experience for us growing up. We also grew up watching Amblin movies. And so this is really a dream. To have been fans watching these things, and growing up with these filmmakers as our heroes. To be able to live inside of this mythology, this franchise, for the last few years has been really incredible.

BD Wong: When this movie came out, all three of us, our whole community, we were starved for representation. We would kill to have better representation and more inclusivity and more diversity in the movies. Some progress has happened between the time that I was a kid and now.
