Description

A firm favourite in our household, these boots are super-comfortable for walks and everyday adventures. The soles are grippy and protective, while allowing natural foot movement, and the leather uppers are sourced from small-scale farmers with free-roaming cattle. These aren't completely waterproof, so little feet may get wet in deep puddles, but they do protect against wet grass, pavement puddles and rain. The Greenbay4 features a waterproof 600 denier nylon upper and an8mm Thermal Guard linerwhich is fully removable. It’s also been made from 100% recycled materials! The adjustable snow collar and midfoot strap keep the snow out, while the lightweight synthetic rubberoutsole offers great traction. The boot is rated to -40 degrees. Stylish yet practical, these full-length boots combine high-quality leather with a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane for ultimate comfort and protection. The calf width is adjustable, the footbed is secure and cushioned, and the outsole offers decent grip in most conditions. The leather will need regular care, especially if exposed to water - but if well looked after, they'll last. Ideal for pub walks, dog walks, and even horse riding. As you’ve seen above, there are many different types of garden boots. While some run as high as your knees, others will typically end at the ankles. If you are looking for something to help with heavy duty work, then a full-length boot will be more practical and protective. But if you just want to complete some light outdoor chores, then a half height boot or ankle boots will serve you well. b. Material

Wellies are just the thing for the mud and endless puddles of a great British winter. But which come out on top when it comes to walking? With their slip-on design and less-than-grippy tread, wellies can rapidly become more of a chore than a pleasure to walk in. The Harris Dryboots features 100 % waterproof rubber construction with a cotton lining and sturdy laces. Self cleaning, anti-clog soles make them ideal walking boots and suitable for almost any terrain. 'D' Ring lacing and full lining with additional padding to the ankle and along the footbed mean they stay confortable and last well. We have had several customers who report wearing the same pair of Viking Dryboots for 25 years (!) and the new Harris Waterproof boots are made by the same manufacturers using the same materials to the same high standards. With a fun print, these ankle-height wellies are ideal for damp days in the garden, walks in wet grass, travel, and other occasions when full-length wellies seem like overkill. Made from natural rubber, they're a relaxed fit. They also have a soft lining, comfortably cushioned footbed, handy loops for pulling them on, and multidirectional lugs in the sole, for traction on slippery ground. The Lace-UpBoots are made from a high-quality breathable synthetic leather (PVC free) and feature an insulative fluffy lining. The boots are female specific, with a slightly wedged heel. While they do offer good traction, I would say the boot is suited to casual wear rather than trekking. Keeping your boots stored upside down is a good way to keep the pesky insects out; you can repurpose an old broom handle, or buy a specific boot storage unit for this. Another good idea is putting something in your boots to stop creepy crawlies getting in – you could stuff them with newspaper, or place an old plant pot over the top. Shorter than a standard welly, but still tall enough to cope with puddles and mud, these feel less cumbersome than full-length boots, while being warm - making them great for winter walking. The all-rubber foot panel is supportive and tough, and the waterproof neoprene upper is comfortable and flexible. Good grip, on a par with the other wellies. Just bear in mind that the size and volume are larger than average. The G2 SM Alpinism has been developed in collaboration with the alpinist Simone Moro, for extreme mountaineering and prolonged working at low temperatures. It features a three-layer design: gaiter, inner hull and inner slipper, which offers maximum waterproofing and insulative properties. The external protective gaiter is composed of water-repellent and anti-abrasion stretch Cordura® fabric, while the inner hull featuresa four-layer insulating structure with reinforcement lorica inserts. Suited for use withcrampons.

The Classic High Work Boot has been designed for extremely cold weather conditions, with a comfort rating to-40˚F. The boot, made from durable rubber, features a 7mm four-way stretch Neo-Tech™ insulated inner, which offers maximum support and movement in extreme conditions. Its non-slip outsole also delivers excellent traction on any surface including snow and ice. Also available in a mid-calf style. Scarpa boots were originally made for mountaineering and these shoes are the lighter version of their classic model. Extremely comfortable — they have been specifically developed for women’s feet — they have calf leather uppers, Gore-Tex lining, a supportive midsole and foam inserts in the heel area. The Harris Dryboot is the ideal work/gardening/walking boot. Whether you are dog walking or fell walking the Harris Dryboot is tough, comfortable and reliable, and great value for money. Harris Dry Boots fit according to usual shoe size. Thanks to today’s array of footwear technologies, you don’t have to throw out your rubber boots when they lose a fight with nails and sharp objects. The rubber can be naturally repaired with affordable sealants found in every general hardware store near you. All you have to do is clean out the punctured part thoroughly with mineral spirits and apply sealant on the slashed or punctured area. Wipe to make a thin film of sealant and wait for at least 24 hours for it to dry. Your rubber garden boots should be just as good as new. Q: Are garden boots and rain boots the same? These full-height, full-grain leather and suede boots offer a lighter feel and a better fit around the foot and ankle than a traditional rubber welly. However, they're pricey, and will need regular care to keep the leather looking and performing at its best. The tread is grippy, cushioned and made from partly recycled rubber. Smart, comfortable and destined for many years of use, they're ideal for walking on wet grass, moorland and forest trails. Children's Most garden boots are made of rubber which is very durable and waterproof. However, it tends to cut down the breathability of your boots. If you’re operating in a hot area that is not as wet, then synthetic materials might be more suited for your boots. c. Closure

No, they are produced in Malaysia, home of the finest natural rubber. They have been made by the same company for the past 65+ years. Do you have any retail outlets?

The Dryboot is well proven as one of the best waterproof boots, made for for situations that call for a short, lace-up waterproof boot, rather than a cumbersome knee length welly. A deep, wide gusset provides easy access and removal. The integral steel shank built into the sole gives superior strength for heavy digging or when walking over rough terrain. The Harris Dryboot is a 100% waterproof boot made from natural rubber. It featuresan anti-sweat, cotton/jersey lining with additional padding around the ankle. A very useful and hardy boot for outdoor work. The Harris brand is a progression from the Viking which is no longer produced. We took over the brand to prevent a massive price rise imposed by the distributors of the Viking Dryboot, and to keep it available in the UK. We have changed the lining, logo and lace colours, and improved the design of the lacing panel. Apart from this, the design, construction, materials used and production processes have not changed since the first pair were produced in 1953....a sure testament to it's success. Combining a rubber lower panel with a smart, full-grain waterproof leather and padded fabric lace-up upper, these boots are a great option for walks with puddles and wet grass, when you don't need the full-length waterproofing of a traditional welly. The contoured, memory-foam footbed offers superb comfort and a secure fit, while the outsole is durable and grippy in all but the muddiest conditions. A great-looking and versatile boot. Men's

Any good garden store should be able to supply you with good gardening boots – if not, you can find a great pair online (the only downside being that you cannot try them on before you buy). Q: Are crocs good for gardening? The Mendozais a sturdy boot suited for winter walking. Made from a brushed vegan upper, the ankle support features a knit fabric designed to provide comfort and keep the warmth in. While they look bulky, they are relatively lightweight for their size, 770g, and provide a good level of waterproofing. The sturdy sole also grips well on snow. Memory foam around the ankle collar ensures you get full support and perfect fit with no break-in time. And for those that tend to be hard on their shoes, there’s an all-round rubber rand to protect from scuffs. This high-top winter version of a classic trekking boot combines full-length lacing with a Gore-Tex lining and leather and synthetic upper. The design provides superior fit, grip and all-day comfort compared with a welly - but isn't as high or submersible. They're also more expensive than most, and require more care. But they're a joy to wear, and will be durable and long-lasting. Best for wet-weather walks, rather than wading. The Viking Dryboot is the ideal work/gardening/walking boot. Whether you are dog walking or fell walking the Viking Dryboot is tough, comfortable and reliable, and great value for money. Viking Dry Boots fit according to usual shoe size. The Classic Triangles Tall is a durable boot which promises to be 100% waterproof. It features a hardy nonslip outsole ideal for navigating slippery terrain and Neo-Tech insulation which keeps you warm and comfortable at subzero temperatures. It is comfort rated to -40C/-40F. The fit can be a little snug, so for wider feet the Classic High maybe a better option. An all-rubber outer means these boots are completely waterproof, while full-length lacing holds the foot securely for a good fit. The upper is comfortably padded, while underfoot the tread is grippy, with an integrated steel shank for excellent protection. Best suited to wet and muddy walking, they're also good for gardening thanks to the shank. They come up large, so you may need to go down a size. From Bridgedale, to Viking and now our own brand name - 'Harris'. This 100% guaranteed waterproof boot remains one of the most successful and long-lived style in the history of waterproof footwear. First produced in 1953, the material quality, design, styling, construction and production process has remained unchanged throughout its long lifetime - a testament to its success. Crocs are great for pottering about in the garden, especially because you can easily slip them on and off. They are suitable for light weeding, or maybe a bit of dead heading, but you should bear in mind that they are not all that suitable for jobs such as heavy digging, as you feet can get damaged by a stray spade or fork. The Ice Patrol MK2is anupgraded version of the Ice Patrol boot. It still has the same boot style, with fold out grippers, but also has higher-spec micro-fibre lining and a ‘bellows’ type tongue plus D ring lacing rather than eyelets on the fore-part.
