I don’t know if you can see a difference in the photo above, but I don’t notice very much blurring when using this primer.

I only ever use pore blurring primers on my cheeks or nose, and tend to prefer a more hydrating primer on my drier parts of my face, but if you have problematic pores, I personally don’t think the Aldi Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer will give you the same results as the Smashbox primer. Just as good as Smashbox but at a fraction of the cost,” said a third. While another said: “Identical to Smashbox! Superb primer - after using the Smashbox one for years switched to this one and saved a fortune and really could not tell a difference between them. Helps make up to glide on easier and tames my oily skin. Well worth a try - you won't regret it!” Unfortunately I didn’t have any Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in my cabinet (it ran out some time ago and wasn’t keen to spend the money on another), but it would be interesting to put these on half a face each to see how they performed over the day. I think this one was slightly thinner than the more expensive Smashbox version, but I quite liked that as I don’t like to go too heavy on my face. Missed Out?

Lacura Naturals Eye Shadow Palette:

Most recently, the weekly Aldi ad indicated some new limited-edition Lacura makeup products will be hitting store shelves in mid-February of 2022. They include primer, eye shadow, and mascara. What We Know:

After leaving it to settle for a few minutes while I did my hair, I applied my foundation and it did seem to glide on much easier. My skin didn’t feel greasy at all. The flaky areas were still flaky – but as my foundation dried it didn’t seem to look as bad as it usually does. I don’t have a problem with large pores, so I can’t really say whether it helps with this or not. However, it did seem to soften my fine lines. After my foundation I added a bit of powder blush and bronzer. The primer did seem to be holding onto my foundation just fine, as I was worried about whether it would start to slip. EDITOR’S NOTE: We bought this makeup as soon as it was available at our local Aldi. You can read our full review of the Lacura mascara here and our review of the primer here, and our review of the eyeshadow is here. Aldi joked: “Get your skin looking picture perfect with this Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer. Whether you're using this alone or under make-up, your selfies will never be the same again.” More than 100 shoppers have rated the Aldi primer five stars, saying it’s like ‘face magic’. Its fast-absorbing formula also boosts hydration to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dryness.

ALDI’S SELL OUT HEATED THROW RETURNS – AND IT’S OVER 40% CHEAPER THAN LAKELAND

Aldi stores in the United Kingdom and in Australia have sold makeup for years. However, Aldi in the U.S. has offered only a limited selection of beauty products in recent years, including occasional lip balm as well as day and night creams. Here, she'll share the freshly released heroes that she loves: ready to let you know where to spend your skin and hair care cash. Once you squeeze the primer from the tube, it’s a clear gel which feels very slimey like a silicone-heavy primer (and the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer) does. Disclaimers: I paid for these products myself. I have in no way been influenced or paid to endorse these products. All recommendations and opinions are my own. The primer is extremely obvious that it is trying to copy the Smashbox Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer, which was one of the first ‘pore-blurring’ primers within the beauty community, and now every beauty brand has tried to create their own to emulate the success.

Get your skin looking picture perfect with this Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer. Whether you’re using this alone or under make-up, your selfies will never be the same again. Contains vitamin A and E, grapeseed extract and green tea for a nourishing and delicate foundation treatment.“ More intensive skincare routines are on the rise, with one in five of us increasing the time we spend each day layering on products, per a recent survey. As such, it’s no surprise that 76% of people who bought cleansers, toners and serums last year said that price remains a key factor, when they choose which item to buy. The budget supermarket's Lacura brand has become the go-to destination for all things beauty in recent years, thanks to its wide range of products that are similar to pricier brands. That changed in February of 2022 when Aldi US sold primer, eye shadow, and mascara as limited-time specials. I bought one of each to try at home with my daughter. Here, we’re looking more closely at one of the primers Aldi sold. It's why budget supermarket Aldi is following in the footsteps of ingredient-led yet inexpensive brands like The Ordinary, Inkey List and Beauty Pie and is launching a brand-new premium skincare range that promises beauty lovers high-quality ingredients without the hefty price tag. These are being sold under the shop's 'Lacura' range. The Aldi Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer contains 30ml of product within a squeezy plastic tube, and aesthetically, it looks extremely similar to the Smashbox version of the primer. Both primers are silica based primers with a clear gel-like texture. I’ve long been a fan of Benefit’s Porefessional for this same silky formula. I applied the Smashbox primer to the right side of my face and took notice of how well it glided on to the skin to blur imperfections and the appearance of blemishes. A small amount of product spreads well and feels immediately soft to touch. The serums are intended to give a glowy look to the skin while also providing hydration and colour correction. They come in two shares, Tulip (a soft pink colour) and Peach (a golden shimmer). READ MORE: Review: The best concealers in the UK tested including MakeUp Revolution, 17 and Maybelline

While the serums look beautiful in their bottles, I found them quite underwhelming to use. The peach colour didn't give me the sun-kissed glow I'd hoped for and was barely noticeable on my skin. The Bobbi Brown Face Base in comparison was much creamier and took longer to sink into the skin, which might make some people look nice and glowy, but for me was simply extra shine I didn't want or need.
