At Lace & Favour, we have a wide range of wedding veils available, including lace veils, satin edge veils, beaded and embellished veils. Many of our handcrafted veils can also be customised to your bespoke requirements to put your own touch on your chosen piece. The number of wedding veil styles can feel intimidating at first glance. From the cathedral length veil and chapel length veil, to the elbow length veil and shorter styles… where to begin? Here’s a little guidance for inspiration. If your dress is already sparkly, you can go one of two ways with the veil. Keep the veil plain and let the dress do all the talking, or tie in a subtly sparkly veil, maybe with just a light scatter of diamantes, to keep to the theme you've already got going. All brides have their own comfort level when it comes to the amount of bling they enjoy, but with our three standard beading layouts you can adjust that level from a light scatter to catch the light, to full-on “falling stars” for maximum sparkle! Do you make custom beaded veils? Try wearing a comb or pin with your wedding veil. Remove the veil at the reception and let the hair accessory shine Of course! We can do a custom bead layout, or different coloured beads to match a headpiece — pretty much anything is possible. Occasionally, we've even been asked to do diamante lettering or monogramming. Every Grace Loves Lace dress undergoes intensive design processes to ensure the fit, feel and balance of each dress is absolutely perfect. Therefore, we do not offer customisations, unless stated. What if I lose/gain weight? Your hairstyle needs to be able to support the wedding veil, and don’t forget to take it to your hair trial so you can experiment with different looks For our other accessories… Well, you can never go wrong with a touch of “something blue” in your garter. For wedding jewellery; less is always more, and a simple pendant is definitely being favoured over chunkier designs. Most chapel length veils will extend past the train of your wedding dress for a floor sweeping effect as they fan out behind you when you glide down the aisle. Here at Lace & Favour HQ, we think there is something so romantic about the reveal at the end of the aisle, when a bride’s veil is raised by her father (or other loved one) when they reach the altar. This timeless tradition always gives us goosebumps and is usually the point in the ceremony when the tears start flowing, both from guests and the bride and groom themselves! For our bridal headpieces, we’ve seen an increase in requests for wedding combs and clips, and also the classic tiara is still going strong. The versatile bridal hair vine, which can be worn in so many positions, is rising in popularity with brides too. In terms of colour, silver is, and has always been, the most popular headpiece colour brides wear. We suspect the rose gold trend of the last couple of seasons may be starting to wane a little. Wedding Accessories If you want to go all-out, a cathedral-length veil makes the most dramatic of entrances. Think cascading swathes of airy tulle sweeping up the aisle A size range is a 5cm range that your measurements fall within and are taken at four to seven different areas of the body to determine the best fit for your shape. For example — a bride may measure an XL bust, L under bust, XL waist and M hip, and we make your gown to the correct size range in each area.
