About this deal

To compliment such stunning picture quality, the QE65QN900BTXXU features an Infinity Screen for total edge-to-edge viewing. As the bezel is so thin, nothing gets in the way of the 8K picture – so you can enjoy everything without distractions. Entertainment Options It’s a familiar refrain and I’ll get it out of the way early. The QE65QN900A could do with a soundbar.

The QN900A ships with two remotes: a standard one and a smart version that’s the better of the two. Turn it over and there’s a solar panel that uses ambient light to charge it – a clever little innovation that requires no batteries. Features We have now started delivering right to your door! Alternatively you can collect free of charge from one of our 7 branches (see steps below) We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for four months in our Accelerated Longevity Test. The 8K models boast the Neo Quantum Processor 8K that uses 16 neural network models to upscale images. As Samsung explains it, the 16 networks are 16 cooks in a kitchen, each with their own speciality as opposed to one or two cooks working on a range of recipes. Focusing on one thing brings specificity. The very latestin Samsungs line of flagship 8K Neo QLED range TVs and quite simply one of the best TVs money can buyis the stunning QE65QN900ATXXU, availableat the best price in the UK courtesy ofElectronic World TV, the home of cheap tvs.

All the most popular apps and services are present and accounted for on Samsung's OS, and there's a dedicated Apps tile with further app suggestions which you can install. With the arrival of its QN900A range, Samsung has essentially stepped into a new television category, giving its already high-end 8K displays a rather significant Mini LED upgrade. Because of this, Samsung's Neo QLED 8K lineup doesn't come cheap.

Update 08/02/2021: We retested the local dimming feature with the latest firmware, version 1511 and updated the local dimming videos. There's a slight improvement in local dimming performance, as there's a bit less noticeable blooming. It appears that the algorithms are spreading blooming out across more zones than before. The TV’s internal speakers are fine for daytime viewing or streaming that doesn’t require whizz-bang sonics, but it’s a bit tepid dynamically at lower levels and raising the volume introduces bass distortion. Even watching the news at higher volume levels can result in some buzzing, and in the kinetic action scenes of WW1984 the effect can distract. Freeview Play is not present, but all the UK catch-up and on-demand apps are. Most of the major apps are here, too, with the likes of Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, Apple TV, BT Sport, Tidal, Spotify and NOW. Prime Video, Disney+ and Netflix support Atmos.

We uploaded the latest brightness measurements and uniformity photos for the Accelerated Longevity Test. One Billion Color, Filmmaker Mode, Quantum Matrix Technology Pro, AI Upscaling, Quantum HDR 4000, HDR HLG To cap it all off, the design of this QE65QN900ATXXUQLED TV is second to none, with its super thin bezel and stunning looks which samsung call an "Infinity Display". And heading the line is Samsung. The South Korean electronics firm has aggressively pushed the format, driving prices down to more agreeable if not always affordable levels. The Samsung QN900A is up to date with most of the latest gaming tech in Auto Low Latency Mode, Variable Refresh Rate, High Frame Rate (120Hz), as well as AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro for reduced visual tearing and stuttering. Samsung TVs are also compatible with Nvidia G-Sync but not certified.Whatever’s on the screen, see it in all its incredible glory with Quantum HDR 3000 powered by HDR10+. From gloomy shadows to sun-scorched scenes, watch every brilliant detail come to life from industry-leading HDR brightness. Plus, with Adaptive HDR10+ every frame is optimised to perfection, so the picture you see is as detailed as it is in real-life. We measured HDR brightness before calibration in the 'Movie HDR' Picture Mode with Brightness and Contrast at max, Color Tone set to 'Warm2', Local Dimming on 'High', and all other image processing disabled. The One Connect box contains all the connections and feeds the TV with power, audio and video. It’s been redesigned to slot into the stand, reducing the TV’s footprint. It’s a very smart idea and I wished Samsung had brought it to more models. Interface

The brightness changed between our initial measurements for the accelerated longevity test and the two-month update due to an automatic firmware update. The design of theQE65QN900ATXXU is truely spectacular with impossibly thin bezels and stunning edges which Samsung calls the 'Infinity Display'. Taking advantage of Samsung's Multi-Intelligence AI upscaling, the QN900A was consistently able to produce images that looked better than their source. We're not saying that it made any 4K content look like native 8K, but it did make it appear better than Ultra HD when viewed up close. Why not connect a phone or tablet to your Smart TV using Bluetooth? You can even stream straight from your PC. Share those recent holiday photos or a funny video with all your friends and family with ease. Use the four HDMI and three USB ports to connect a device such as a Blu-Ray player or games console to take advantage of the 65” screen. The Samsung QN900A has superb HDR brightness. However, it's not as good overall as on the Samsung QN800A 8k QLED. It gets bright enough to bring out highlights in HDR content, but as with SDR, the ABL is really aggressive, causing the screen to dim when displaying large areas of brightness. Also, as shown in the EOTF, the overall brightness of scenes is a bit brighter than it should be.

The Samsung QN900A delivers 8K performance with aplomb

The QE65QN900ATXXUhas a Neo Quantum 4K processor that makes navigating through the menus and smart features of this lovely set easy and fast. Multitasking between apps, menus and settings is a breeze for the QE65QN900ATXXU as well as optimising the picture quality for omtimum viewing at all times. Update 08/02/2021: We retested the peak brightness with the latest firmware, version 1511. Small highlights and real scenes are significantly dimmer than before this update, but larger bright scenes are brighter. A few people have mentioned to us that the TV increases in brightness after a reset, so we also looked into that. We found that resetting the TV results in a very small increase in peak brightness, but it's minor and not noticeable. We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for two months in our Accelerated Longevity Test. It's likely going to lose its spot on our list of the best TVs to the newer Samsung QN900B 8K QLED TV that boasts new Shape Adaptive Light technology and built-in up-firing speakers that allow for immersive Dolby Atmos audio without the need for a soundbar, but it's still a top-performing QLED TV that's worth the cash.
