About this deal

There are plenty of reasons to get both the LG C2 OLED and Samsung QN95B QLED, since each are among the most premium offerings from two of the market's most reputable TV manufacturers. The C2 is the best LG TV right now while the QN95B is the best Samsung TV right now. The QN95B supports high dynamic range in the form of HDR10, HLG (hybrid log-gamma) and HDR10+. Sadly, Samsung still refuses to support Dolby Vision, but given the native HDR capabilities of this TV it’s debatable how much benefit the dynamic metadata format would add.

Samsung QN95B and S95B are two of the flagship of Samsung’s 2022 TV lineup. The QN95B is the highest-end of Samsung’s 4K neo QLED TV in 2022. On the other hand, the Samsung S95B is the first OLED TV by Samsung. However, it doesn’t use white-OLED that found on most all OLED TVs in previous years or LG OLED TVs in this year. Instead of using white-OLED, the S95B uses the new OLED technology called QD-OLED that combine quantum dot filter and OLED panel. Along with Sony A95K, it is even the first OLED TV that uses QD-OLED panel.

We uploaded the initial brightness measurements and uniformity photos for the Accelerated Longevity Test. There are also virtual aim point and minimap zoom gaming aids this year, alongside the previous ‘cheat’ of being able to boost the brightness of exclusively the dark parts of the picture to make enemies hiding in dark corners easier to see.

There’s more you can do with the Samsung QN95B Neo QLED TV than watch movies and shows, though. The TV is also a fully-equipped SmartThings hub, so it can act as a control center for your SmartThings-connected smart home devices. It has Google Assistant and Alexa, so you can use your voice to control both the TV and other devices, too. Samsung QN95B Neo QLED TV review: Remote The Samsung QN95B Neo QLED TV’s upscaling for both HD and SD content is powered by the Neural Quantum Processor 4K. Watching “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” the detail and clarity seriously impressed, especially when differentiating all three Spider-Man suits. Even when tested against daylight, I didn’t lose any of the picture to glare. This reminds us that Samsung’s QLED TVs are better equipped to handle places with natural lightning than OLED. Samsung’s new Tizen interface is currently a big step in the wrong direction, bombarding you with content and options you don’t want, and taking away the customization options you might have used to make it better. The QN95C’s brightness advantage over OLED is even more pronounced with full-screen bright content, where its 805 nits in Standard and around 700 nits in Movie and Filmmaker Mode measurements are three to four times higher than those of the latest premium OLEDs. I would add, though, that while these measurements are impressive with test screens, it was strangely only in the TV’s Dynamic preset where I consistently felt the impact of this brightness with real world content. Both of them also have great HDR performance. Both support most of current HDR format like HDR10, HLG, and HDR10+. Sadly, until now, there is no Samsung TV including the S95B and QN95B that support Dolby Vision, so you cannot watch Dolby Vision Content on both. They may already support HDR10+, HDR format that has similar specification and algorithm to Dolby Vision. However, Dolby Vision is more popular than HDR10+. This means, Dolby Vision content is more widely available in the market than HDR10+.Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 27th November 2023. The QN95C's mid-range drivers deliver low frequency sounds more cleanly and responsively than its predecessors. (Image credit: John Archer) Samsung QN95C TV review: sound quality The main problem is that the sound just doesn’t escape forward from the screen. In fact, if anything the action seems to be taking place almost exclusively slightly behind the screen, meaning it fails to engage you to the same extent the pictures do. QN95B's strengths lie in fullscreen brightness in brightly lit environments as its overall brightness is higher than OLED TVs' overall brightness. Some users may value that for sports or similar genres, although we personally still overall prefer OLED TVs in bright rooms all things considered. The TV can reproduce a passable amount of bass without succumbing to buzzing or breakdown, too, and fine audio details are plentiful and reasonably clean.
