About this deal

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS. Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number). Thankfully, Boots and Superdrug sell an extensive range of leave-in conditioning products (such as those mentioned in the previous section). You will undoubtedly find a suitable alternative. Conclusion Bear in mind that the Vitapointe Creme now available in the USA has different ingredients and a different scent.

This leave-in also contains rosehip oil and Keratin protein, further working to repair the hair strand and repair damage caused from heat, colour or styling. Much like Vitapointe, the formula works to fight frizz with conditioning properties, such as Vitamin E and Coconut water. Vitapointe has been discontinued in the UK. Coty bought Clairol in 2016, and it was then that they stopped manufacturing the original Vitapointe Creme. In the USA, the original product was reformulated. The new Vitapointe has a different scent and changed ingredients. The formula contains Keratin which is known to treat damaged hair. The hair follicle absorbs Keratin into the strand to rebuild them from the inside out. Vitamins and Castor Oil help to maintain frizz superficially whilst the Keratin repairs the strand. Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.It also tames frizz and prevents flyaways, which is a must for those with curly, wavy hair or damaged hair! If you already have a healthy amount of protein in your hair, using a product with protein can cause protein overload. These are the signs that your hair does need protein. This intensive leave-in conditioner is curly girl method approved, so is suitable for those with both wavy and curly hair. It’s cruelty-free, vegetarian and vegan society approved and is made of 97% natural ingredients. These include hydrating shea butter and argan oil, which are safe to use on coloured hair without stripping the colour out. Has a strong smell, most people have said it is pleasant, but it may be overwhelming for sensitive noses

If you’re struggling to find Vitapointe Creme in the UK, or you find it too expensive, you might consider buying the newly-formulated product abroad. Walmart in the USA, for example, carries the new Vitapointe Creme and sells it at a reasonable price (source: Walmart).

How often should does dry, damaged or chemically treated hair need leave-in conditioner?

This spray is a great multitasker, whilst repairing your hair it also protects it from further damage with thermal protection. Allowing you to save time and have detangling, strengthening and protection all in one product! This all-in-one has a milky texture and comes in a convenient spray bottle, making it perfect for on-the-go use or when you’re in a rush. It can be applied to damp or dry hair and has a clean and refreshing scent, which will work for you if you aren’t a fan of florals. Pros: Apply this product in the evening onto freshly washed hair and sleep with it in. You can either wash it out in the morning or leave it in, whichever you’d prefer! The formula won’t stain your bedsheets, but if you’re worried you can wear a hair bonnet or shower cap to bed.
