The cable length is a little on the short side, but it shouldn’t cause too many issues if you plan on using it with a laptop, though desktop users may need to move their display closer to their systems for it to reach.

Absolutely. While there are other excellent brands that make excellent webcams, on top of newer brands that have popped up, Logitech webcams have become a true go-to – reliable, affordable, feature-rich. The picture quality of these webcams is also great, no matter the resolution, and their build quality is typically great quality. How to make your Logitech webcam deliver better footage It's a pricey product, so even if you're a professional, there might be better value options for you on this list. However, for a business that needs to make frequent group broadcasts, the investment should prove itself worthy of such an expense. How to choose the best Logitech webcam for you Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test.

If you want a good webcam on a budget, the Logitech C310 HD is your best bet

We keep lighting levels consistent and test for well-lit and low-light conditions to put the webcam sensor through its paces. We make note of how accurate the colors are in any recorded footage and the overall clarity of video and photographs taken on the webcam.

If you’re a presenter, work in a professional setting, or create content for video channels, you’ll want a higher resolution, like 1080p/30fps. Other features, like autofocus, digital zoom, and pan and tilt, will also be important. Dual omnidirectional mics for clear audio are also features you’ll want. The Logitech C930e, C925, C922, C922s, and C920 are all good options. These are also excellent choices for gaming. The Logitech Brio is what you need if you’ve been looking for if you need something a little punchier than the usual 720p or 1080p offerings. With a 4K UHD resolution and HDR, the Logitech Brio has brought high fidelity to the world of the best webcams. If that wasn’t enough, it also boasts Windows Hello functionality and a multi-positioning mount that allows you full flexibility on where your new Logitech webcam will go. The first thing to consider is what you need your webcam for. For working professionals or office staff, most conference calling software such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams will restrict your broadcast quality to 1080p resolution and 30fps to preserve bandwidth. Google meets goes a step further and restricts your quality to 720p as this is the standard resolution on most built-in laptop cameras. The top-of-the-line for content creators and gamers is the StreamCam, which also includes all of the bells and whistles like dual omnidirectional mics, digital zoom, pan, and tilt, autofocus, and smart framing. In addition, the camera includes editing software. More from Tom's Guide With crisp 1080p HD resolution, fantastic lighting and great color reproduction that's on the cooler side, this affordable webcam is a great option for most people – from professionals who need to connect with their colleagues and clients to casual users who want to stay in touch with loved ones. It also has a terrific low-light performance for the price, which makes it ideal for dark offices and dimmer environments (a streamer's RGB-lit setup, for instance). Setup is also a breeze, and it works across various devices, making it very versatile. You can easily transition from landscape to portrait mode by simply turning the camera sideways. There’s a monitor mount and a tripod mount included, allowing you to pan and tilt, and you can use the included cable to put the camera on a tripod.

RightLight 3 automatically adjusts your image in direct sunlight, low light, or high-contrast scenarios. Meanwhile, the dual omnidirectional mics cancel noise while making your voice crisp and clear. The Brio can be used with Windows 7, 8 and 10, as well as Mac OSX 10.6 and above, and Xbox One. In addition, the Brio uses the Logi Tune app, which allows you to control your webcam and customize settings, such as framing focus and color presets, right on your laptop or desktop. The webcam is also certified to be compatible with most video conferencing apps. Logitech makes a variety of webcams, so choosing the right one will depend largely on your needs. If price is usually a contributing factor, you’ll want the least expensive camera that meets your requirements. However, those exact requirements may depend on why you’re using the camera.

When you want the best-of-the-best, with all of the bells and whistles, the Brio Ultra HD Pro and 4K Pro Magnetic for Apple are the only two options on the list that also have a high dynamic range and adjustable field of view. The latter is important because it allows you to change from a tight shot to a wide shot or somewhere in between. Both of these webcams also have 4K/30fps – although most services don’t support it yet. You can also replicate this using studio lights if you work in darker environments away from a window. You can also use cheap desk lamps in a pinch by directing them against a wall to reduce the harshing lighting and create a diffused appearance. Not that regular webcam users shouldn't get it either. It's very easy to use and to setup. Straight from plugging in, you can enjoy Logitechs latest release with minimal (if any) adjustments needed. We even use it for our daily video calls at work. But, it is also a little too pricey and feature-rich for such tasks. Get it only if you can maximize its features or if you've got the extra cash.

Autofocus, digital zoom, pan and tilt, and dual omnidirectional microphones ensure that you’ll have every tool that you could ever need. Both of these webcam options are also certified-compatible with most – if not all – platforms. They’re the two most expensive options but sometimes, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for something that shoots at a higher frame rate – at 60fps, for example – you might be disappointed at it tops at 30fps at its highest 1080p resolution. So, its picture quality is not going to be as crisp and as smooth. However, to most people, that doesn't really matter. Overall, the sheer quality and features of this Logitech webcam often make much more expensive products not worth the extra cash. The Logotech C310 also has a built in microphone that supposedly has noise reducing capabilities but we found this wasn’t especially effective. On a few test calls you could hear everything being said with enough clarity to understand someone. But also every noise coming from a noisy desktop PC and the entire street outside because of an open window. For example, if you just need a webcam for your company’s weekly meetings or to communicate with your loved ones and friends, a camera with a 720p resolution will be fine. The Logitech C270, C310, C505, and C505e are four inexpensive options to consider. The 4K Pro Magnetic Webcam includes all of the features of the Brio, and also includes a Logitech Camera Settings app just for Mac. The app allows you to customize and control settings such as color intensity, contrast and brightness, and zoom. How to choose the best Logitech webcam for your needs

C270 HD WEBCAM

You’ll also want to be the only person in your shot as with just a 60-degree FOV you’ struggle to fit another individual in frame. Compared to the Logitech C920 (argueably the brands most iconic product) which offers a 78-degree FOV, this is less than ideal, but won’t cause any problems if you’ll be the only one using the webcam. For content creators such as YouTubers or Streamers, there is a range of powerful webcams available, with some reaching 4K resolution and 60fps for buttery smooth video. These webcams are overkill for occasional use, but with features like a variable field of view (or FOV) and adjustable resolution or and zoom, the extra cash could be a worthy investment in your hobby. Are Logitech webcams worth it? Video calls in 4K may be overkill for most people, however, and it can take up a chunk of your PC's resources, so we wouldn't recommend it for everyone, even if you can afford its lofty price. Only really invest if you need that UltraHD resolution. If you're planning on using a webcam purely for these work-related calls then there isn't any point in buying a powerful 4k model as you simply won't see the benefit. The light and color detection will vary for each model though, so you'll still see a variance in recording quality depending on what webcam you buy.
