This fearful atmosphere spread throughout the auditorium and was nourished, through the use of music, lighting and smoky effects. This scene also highlights a poignant stage in the story plot, where we see the beginnings of the Beast’s compassionate side, as he comes to Belle’s rescue and whilst doing so, becomes injured himself. Lilo & Stitch: Lilo Pelekai • Stitch • Grand Councilwoman • Captain Gantu • Jumba Jookiba • Pleakley • Mertle Edmonds • Nani Pelekai • David Kawena • Cobra Bubbles • Ice Cream Man • Pudge Hannah Wyard– (ENCHANTRESS) and Michael Stebbings– (YOUNG PRINCE) – These two minor, non-speaking roles were well filled by these two, appearing in the opening tableaux and the finale ensuring these two characters were well presented.

Only two cups? Bit of a let down, tea for two is a classic phrase yes, but if we're trying to encourage social skills in young children four cups may have been a better option, I even just for teddy/dolly/the dog.

Tricia Goodchild–(MADAME DE LA GRANDE BOUCHE) – This was a great portrayal by Tricia of a wardrobe complete with practical doors, even to the extent of containing a full ladies evening dress. Her voice characterisation as ‘Madame de la Grand Bouche’ was hilarous, truly operatic – Well done. Costumes– These costumes were incredible, they were descriptive, colourful and had been made by a costumier who knew his/her business. They were well fitting, clean and had a dramatic impact on the audience. What's more, there's baffling legerdemain on show that can be hard to fathom. Blink and you'll miss the Beast's transformation, arrows pinging across the stage and quite how Iesa Miller's Chip can fit into a tea trolley with none of his body visible. It's classic stagecraft but Beauty And The Beast has borrowed from the big screen, superstar magic and state-of-the-art FX alike to dazzle the audience. The work of illusion master Jim Steinmeyer, A/V man Darrel Maloney and designer Stanley A Meyer combine to spectacular effect. When the Trigger to destroy Storybrooke is activated, he uses a potion given by Leroy that helps people regain their true memories, which must be drunk from an object that's important to them, and restores the cup from the shards. He then pours the potion in it for Belle and himself and has her drink it in a toast. Belle regains her memories and is reunited with Mr. Gold. Chip and Mrs. Potts take Belle to the dining room and later participate during the musical number " Be Our Guest", satisfying Belle. Chip and the other objects sing during "Days in the Sun" and later during "Something There" centering on the relationship between Belle and the Beast.

The Beast was a difficult character to play as for most of the story he was mainly required to shout or roar leaving little scope to attract compassion from the audience, however Dan Groves’ portrayal imbued the Beast with great vulnerability. His excellent singing and interpretation of the song If I Can’t Love Her was superb and an emotional finale to Act One.
