About this deal

This is a display of strength: with its construction quality and sonic characteristics, it‘s the new reference in this price category. With specs like these, it is highly recommended! Debut Carbon EVO comes equipped with a balanced RCA/ground phono output and can be run balanced with an RCA > mini XLR phono cable and a balanced phono stage with a mini XLR input ( Phono Box S3 B & DS3 B). The turntable ships with an RCA/ground > RCA/ground phono cable for maximum compatibility out of the box (unbalanced dual single-ended RCA/ground is by far the most common connection type in phono). Balanced add-ons are sold separately. Browse options for balanced phono preamps & cables in the reel below! Whether or not the Debut Carbon Evo is the best record player for you might be decided by whether you prefer its fuller, more relaxed character or the more spritely and lean alternative of its main competitor. What is clear from the 10 stars shared between the two is that there is no clear winner for every listener. For a 45 RPM record, I chose Ed Sheeran’s multiply which is a double album. Listening to The Man, the Pro-Ject really digs into the bass as I realise that I have a very accomplished and capable turntable on my hands. Overall

What the Pro-Ject System does so well is give you the integration, flexibility, and convenience of an all-in-one but in a manner that is entirely Pro-Ject and tremendously appealing as a result. The EVO weighs in at 13.2 pounds and measures 16.3 inches wide by 4.5 inches high and 12.6 inches deep. Pro-Ject specifies the wow and flutter at +/- 0.19 percent and speed drift +/- 0.6 percent, both at 33 rpm. The signal-to-noise ratio is specified as 68 dB.

As a somewhat 'seasoned' vinyl guy (owning 1,000+ LPs), I can only tell you there is huge gap between digital & vinyl. The Debut Carbon EVO is an attractive turntable with clean, modern lines. The plinth is available is nine different finish options, including Satin Walnut and a variety of colors in both satin and gloss finishes. the newest Pro-Ject’s creation outperformed tonally and once again emotionally – dare I say – pricier, older, and higher up the rank offerings. So you claim you are "an analog guy". Yet you stated "digital absolutely crushes vinyl". Who doesn't know this digital ABC: 70+dB channel separation? As a TRUE "analog guy", I would never bad mouth vinyl in this public venue. Your ego made you forget this forum is for turntables, not for digital. Pro-Ject's new Debut Carbon EVO does not just look great - it also always stands perfectly level. It uses 3 height adjustable heavy-duty metal feet to ensure a level positioning on every surface.

Heavy steel and TPE damped Pro-Ject added a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) ring on the inside of the platter. The result is an even quieter and noiseless operation with less wow and flutter.with the Debut Carbon EVO winning clearly. It achieved a phenomenal physical impact for its category, truthful tonal colors, and soundstage height.

So you claimed you are a "music lover" & "an analog guy". Please tell us how many LPs you own at home & what are yr favorite artists. The turntable to which this arm is attached is also recognisably a Debut but one that a fine tooth comb has been applied to. The platter is made from steel, as it has been on many previous iterations but there is now additional dampening. This takes the form of a ring of TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) around the inner lip of the platter and it results in a pleasingly inert sound when you tap it. Crucially, the Planer 2 is fitted with Rega’s new RB220 tonearm, which features ultra-low-friction ball bearings, a stiffer bearing housing and an automatic bias setting, making it virtually plug-and-play. That should please newcomers who want to enjoy vinyl with minimal fuss, but be aware that the Planar 2 doesn’t have a built-in phono stage, so it needs to hook up to a stereo amplifier that has one. Or you can always buy a separate unit. That’s the case with both of these turntables, so certainly it’s not a reason to discriminate between the two.

Ground IT E Support Platform £119

Otherwise, cheers, fellow audiophile. (I would say 'fellow music lover,' but you seem not so much the type.)

To guarantee a perfect connection to your amp you will find a high-quality phono RCA cable in the box. Pro-Ject's Connect it E is a semi-balanced, low-capacitance cable, with superior shielding. Technical Specifications Nominal speedsThe motor drives a sub-platter system for a more elegant overall aesthetic. The sub-platter is mounted into a precision-engineered stainless steel main bearing with bronze bushing. The sub-platter sits beneath the heavy main steel platter with TPE damping. This proven drive system experiences minimal friction and allows for excellent technical measurements and unrivalled speed stability.
