About this deal

Despite his slight size, Frankie’s impact upon the British racing scene was immediate and significant. Brimming with confidence, charisma and personality, and with what was clearly a precocious talent, in 1990 he became the first teenager since Lester Piggot to win more than 100 races in a single season. By 1996, Frankie was already established as a celebrity in the sport and an adopted national treasure, but it was his extraordinary achievement of winning all seven races in a single day at Ascot that cemented his reputation as the greatest rider of his generation. I listened to this on audio book and though the narrator (Mark Meadows) does not have the familiar Italian accent, he manages to bring that same liveliness that Frankie is famous for. I forgot it was not Frankie talking! A very good fit for this book indeed.

Dettori would be the first to admit that Mostahdaf is very much Jim Crowley's ride, but if the latter is unavailable again for some reason come Champions Day, then you'd imagine the Italian would be first in line given how well they gelled in the Juddmonte International at York last month. She has been involved in a public war of words with her superstar sister in recent months after both of them released books and Britney insisted her younger sister should have helped her regain control of her life. The uncomfortable exchange did not go unnoticed on social with viewers rushing to share their thoughts on the conversation. Last night on the show newcomer Frankie put the question on everyone's lips to pop princess Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn. He asked her: “Is it true you don’t get on with her now?” To which she awkwardly replied: “I love my sister.”
