Honoring this part of history, we have decided to create Aldea Aborigen Tiki Spiced, a golden and spiced rum with a unique character that will immerse you in the aromas and flavors of the 16th century. It is silky in the throat, it covers the mouth with a soft wheat aroma, perfectly integrating the perception of alcohol in the mouth. Genuine from the Canary Islands and based in our young and vintage spirits, this is a golden coloured rum, with ochre-like old gold sparkles. It has a clean and natural taste, with a medium-high intensity, with sugar cane, citric and silky notes. It provides a pronounced mouthfeel with a medium length, vanilla notes and a sugary persistent flavor. This rum leaves a good aftertaste and is excellent to have it straight up or mixed. Tasting note: In the visual examination it is colorless, clean and transparent. Good intensity, delicate nose, fresh and elegant. On the palate smooth, elegant, enveloping, it expands through the mouth, having a long persistence; leaves long memories of its complex bouquet.It is, together with the Tenerife honey (which has a PDO), widely used in the confectionery of Canary Islands food. When the colonists realized that the syrup exposed to the sun could be mixed with water and fermented to become similar to rum precedent from other geographies, the business practically created itself. They began to export it to Europe, and it became the primary currency in colonial American commerce between the XVII and XVIII centuries, and thus the first distilled beverage to achieve industrial heights.
