About this deal

Fox Bite Alarms and Receivers: Revolutionising Your Angling Experience Discover Fox Bite Alarms and Receivers I left it in sunshine in 30 degrees, cover off, battery cover off, for three days. No joy unfortunately.

I really can't see Fox only having a 20m range, they've always had one of the strongest and most reliable receivers, even my old MMXR'S went further than that 15 years ago lol. I dislike having to cycle through the louder volumes to get to a quieter setting, but a thumb over the speaker shuts them up.

Got them and had a play to get some idea of the range. Obviously new batteries in heads and receiver. When around lots of shrubs, trees, etc this can drastically diminish the range. Also if there are power lines nearby or even the weather can have an effect. I popped in to my local shop, had a time slot to collect, he said the 4 rod version was out now, the two rod next and the 3 rod towards the end of the month. I would say the heads look and feel ok, buttons and switch seem positive, battery cover is a good fit. The receiver does look and feel a little cheap, but then again it's not going to be sitting out there in all weather's. My only gripe is the LED's on the receiver could have been bigger and brighter, or have a fish eye lens to enhance them. At the end of the day they are only mid entry alarms.

I don’t think there’s a MK1 and 2 version but I had a similar problem, no matter what I tried I couldn’t get one of my heads to pair up.How Should I determine if these alarms suitable for my fishing this way? fishing from lodge, or on an elevation?

I took the plunge and got some of these. One odd thing I have noticed is the sound on speaker of the alarm and receiver if you listen carefully with one beep you can hear it come on it sounds like a walkie talkie channel if you know what I mean? Cone speaker for crisp sound Rubber inlays to protect your rod and hold it in place on savage bitesNever understood why buzz bars aren't made with an internal grub screw/allen key adjustment to help line up alarms. Be sure they are turned off before you fit the hard case cover. It would have been good it they would designed the cover so it'd only fit when the switch was in the off position, but again the anglers are the field testers, eh... Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit.

Functions all work well, only criticism are the tones, not brilliant, assuming the speaker is an area they saved money on. months 3 night's a week is a fare bit of battery time in my thoughts. My mate had to change his batteries every session in his Prologic heads lol The FoxMini Micron is a modern re-worked version of the old school classic Mini Micron Bite Alarm but this one boasts a number of great new features. Using mine for the first time tomorrow, looking forward to seeing how they perform (assuming I get a bite.....)The Fox Mini Micron's unique design allows it to be paired with a range of accessories, such as a bobbin, hanger or Swinger (for the Fox range), to ensure you never miss a catch. The LED's on this alarm are highly visible, even in low light conditions, making sure you never miss a bite. The LED intensity is also adjustable, giving you full control over your bite alarm. Not just you,I like it too.Fox alarms sound better too,Delkims sound like a cat with a hot poker up it's arse They're not competing with top end alarms, but are well worth 200 quid for 3 and receiver in my mind. they look like a good deal, I just don't get why fox have brought these out with more features than the mxr
