Description

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro provides you with an incredible photography experience, all in one smartphone device. UK calls/texts to standard UK landlines and mobiles and when roaming in our Europe Zone. Fair Usage policy applies. Special and out of bundle numbers chargeable.4G phone required to access 4G. 4G available in selected areas. This camera’s secondary cameras are standard fodder. You get an 8MP ultra-wide and a poor 2MP macro. As is the case with all ultra-low-res macros, it takes bad pictures. Sure, you can focus up close, but the detail is rendered at such low fidelity you just don’t get the eye beguiling effect that makes macro photography worthwhile.

The ultrawide doesn’t fare anywhere near as well as the main shooter, either. At 8MP, it simply doesn’t have access to the same raw information as the main sensor, and neither the lens nor Xiaomi’s AI are sufficiently advanced to prevent noise and distortions from creeping in at the edges. More problematically, the tone of the ultrawide is completely different to the main sensor.

Significant Downgrade: Cameras

Display Type A number of display technologies and types used in mobile phones TFT (Thin Film Transistor), IPS (In-Place Switching), OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode), Super AMOLED (an even advanced version of AMOLED), Resistive Touchscreen (Resistive touchscreens contain two-layer of conductive material with a very small gap between them which acts as a resistance), Capacitive Touchscreen (Capacitive touchscreen technology consists of a layer of glass coated with a transparent conductor) The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G stereo speakers are the part we’ve appreciated most, though. A stereo array is always beneficial for gaming and video streaming, but these speakers also provide solid maximum volume and a decent amount of mid-low frequency substance. Plus, the large battery with 67W Turbo Charging allows you to be on the go in a pinch, with 50% of charge in just 15 minutes.

There’s one big downgrade that we haven’t yet mentioned. Video recording has been dropped to a rather pitiful 1080p at 30fps, whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro supported 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. There’s an appreciable bump in raw CPU power, as evidenced by average Geekbench 5 scores of 689 single-core and 2,054 multicore. As you can see, this represents a comfortable advantage over rivals such as the Poco X3 NFC, the Nokia X10, and the Poco M4 Pro 5G.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 clearly is not a perfect fit for this phone, even if its raw CPU and GPU power are perfectly okay. n1 (2100) , n3 (1800) , n5 (850) , n7 (2600) , n8 (900) , n20 (800) , n28b (700) , n28a (700) , n38 (2600) , n40 (2300) , n41 (2500) , n66 (1700) , n77 (3700) , n78 (3500) The phone doesn't play Ark: Survival Evolved too well with everything maxed out. While there are not too many annoying dips, the frame rate is suboptimal — in the 20s with some descents into the teens. You’ll want to play it at medium graphics with the resolution slider diminished a bit for a smooth experience.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G subtly enhances a winning formula

Fortnite plays at up to 30fps with reasonable solidity, apart from the usual drop as fresh assets are loaded. However, you can only run it at medium settings, meaning it just doesn’t look quite as good as it does on a more powerful phone. Typical capacity equivalent to a 4500mAh battery. The battery is split into a dual 2250mAh cell structure. This places the Note 11 Pro 5G in the same ballpark as the Poco M4 Pro 5G and the Nokia X10 , and just below the likes of the Realme 8 Pro and the Moto Edge 20 Lite. With a 6.6 inch Full HD+ display, powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor and superfast turbo charging, the Redmi Note Pro offers an incredible smartphone experience.

You can mostly fix this by digging into the settings menu and turning off battery life optimization for these apps. However, lots of folks aren’t going to know this is an option. And we still see some occasional unwanted app closures, particularly when the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G battery gets low. How is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G for gaming? It is far from Xiaomi's best. With this sort of budget you could get the Xiaomi Poco F3. Its Snapdragon 870 5G chipset is one of the best cost-to-performance processors in years. It’s a beast.

We captured a few too many blown-out skies, and it frequently fumbles dusk scenes. The phone has the tools to avoid the primary issues these scenes raise, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro doesn’t always seem to use them. The results are sharp and reasonably balanced, especially for a budget phone. Xiaomi’s AI photo assistant is turned off by default, but I generally opted to keep it that way. While it served to punch up my shots, it also tended to overexpose the highlights. The normal camera settings seem to do the job just fine. Applies to calls made in in the UK and when roaming in our Europe Zone to standard landlines and mobiles. Minute minimum charges apply 2. Text message Redmis are relatively reserved. At their best, this can mean they look more like a legit top-end phone than the showy budget Androids. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G runs on a Snapdragon 695 5G, which turns out to be an upgrade on the Snapdragon 732G used in the Redmi Note 10, despite Qualcomm’s unhelpful naming scheme.
