The hexagonal design means that it balances evenly on surfaces such as sand too, so it’s really useful for wild camping. Before I get into this review, it’s worth pointing out this was a highly rated product a couple of years ago and still is now to my mind. For some reason they have changed the listing so don’t be surprised by the low rating, what I found was this is absolutely the best all round portable fire pit giving a great balance of heat, ability to cook food / warm water, safety, and decent stability whilst being raised from the ground on tripod legs.
